T.G.I. Fridays is running a promotion where they are trying to get 500,000 fans added to a Facebook page by September 30th. If they do, they are giving those 500,000 fans a free Jack Daniel's burger or chicken sandwich. They were at around 18,500 when I signed up this morning.

All the Friday's here are in casinos and they don't honor any of the other nationwide advertised promotions like $5 burgers, so I doubt they'd honor this one either. In any case, I'll give it a try.

Actually, I didn't sign up since I don't have a TGIF real close to me and the 4-day window would have made it difficult to redeem. Though I would have signed up if it would have meant making hundreds of thousands of others happy.

That's because you didn't receive two unique codes, but instead just had two different bar codes.
The reference (unique) IDs were the same on both of your printouts.

No. The codes in the upper right were different. The UPC bar codes in the lower left are the same on every coupon I've seen printed from a few different people.
I'm thinking that maybe the 2nd restaurant didn't enter it correctly, not using the unique code at all, but just the UPC in the lower left.

Well the newer coupon just has that serial code (Lower left), not a bar code (Upper right)... so I am guessing that is what they use, since there is nothing else on the new one...

Yeah, the serial code was what I was talking about.
The original e-mail had two links, but didn't print out two different serial codes.
I have all three print outs in front of me.
So, no free second burger.

Yeah, just the security code in the upper right was different, but the serial code was the same on the old one, and the new replacement one, that doesn't have the security code, or even the serial code number bar code.
