Beginning Monday 7th Sep, Amazon will have an entire week of TV DVD Gold Box deals.

Hoping for a deal on the Buffy/Angel complete collections so I can ditch my individual season copies. Thanks OP.

If my memory is correct, I think everyone was underwhelmed by the deals in the last Gold Box week.

I remember this as well. Man, the deals sure have dried up lately. Everyone is now desperate to find something at Big Lots.

That's the way I remember it too. The last TV week and the last HD week both sucked.

Good stuff does show up from time to time in these types of deals. Hell, the great HBO week sale was just back in April.

I think Northern Exposure was a great deal last time, but I didn't get it in time. Of course, with Target's sale on individual seasons lately, it's not as big a deal, but still the best I've seen.

I hope they offer the Man From Uncle set again. Also the Buffy box, and the Angel box. And maybe the Star Trek original series.

I bought 2 from the last sale (Miami Vice & Incredible Hulk), it would have been 3 but I already got the Knight Rider Complete Series during one of DD sales, so I thought it was an ok sale. :D

FYI...Breaking Bad S.1 will be a lightning deal in about 45 minutes (4pm CST). I'm hoping for $15 or lower.

edit: Forget it, it's on "sale" for $21. Hopefully this is not a representation of what we should expect next week.

I would love to see BSG seasons on sale... and I mean really on sale, like under $20 per season....

It's always seasons 1-4 that are on sale, and also cheap at Target. I need 5 & 6.

I bought season 6 at the Rohnert Park, CA Target a month ago for $20.

It's one of those that cycles in-and-out on the bottom shelves of the TV section for $19.99 or $14.99.

Last time I hoped for a decent price on Northern Exposure and was pleased when it came up so this time I will hope for a decent price on Twin Peaks. I'd really like to get the Gold Box for around $30.

I ordered Seinfeld even though I shouldn't have. I just got done ordering a Denon receiver. I wonder what else we have to look forward to this week. I'd really like to see a deal on Home Improvement or Two and a Half Men. Walker Texas Ranger might also be tempting.

If there wasnt another BD release of Casablanca coming out in a couple of weeks, I'd jump on this. Unfortunately, I dont have any use for the extras in the box set.

GREAT buy for some, especially bigtime collectors or fans; an appreciative and tempting, but ultimately, passed over offer for me. Thanks for the love, anyhow, Amazon.

Seinfeld set is tempting even though I've got the individual seasons I'm sure I could sell them off on a friend or something. I'll probably wind up waiting it out this time and get it when it goes on sale again sometime.

Short of a BSG Complete Series set (preferably Blu), I dont see anything popping up this week I'll bite on. I'm mostly caught up on my TV series, and the ones I do want to get aren't major enough to show up on this sale (Quantum Leap, Wings, etc)

Don't know...do they sell bundles during Gold Box TV Week? Seems like I only remember complete sets.

Doubt they'd offer a deal on Two 1/2 anyway since Season Six just came out on DVD & they already offer a bundle deal on 1-6. It'd be nice if they did lower the price, though....say, $100 for all six.

And fans are still waiting for Walker Seasons 7 & 8 to be released (Season 9 has been out for a while).

A super deal on BSG would be nice. If they do bundles, Prison Break 1-4 w/Final Break would be nice, too.

Or a super deal on the entire 26 sets of Dark Shadows.

However, I'd expect to see more of some we've seen in the past...Lucy, 70's Show, Hulk, Knight Rider, MASH, etc.

If it's possible for you, make sure you buy the R2 Quantum Leap so that you get the original music. QL is one of those shows where the music is stripped-out in the US.

Even in R2 (region two), the music is replaced in Seasons 4 & 5. Seasons 2 & 3 have the original music in R2. Season 1 has all the original music in both regions (R1 & R2).

It is probably still too early for really good deals. November leading up to Black Friday will hopefully lead to some good deals. Older stuff, which people who wanted it already have, seems to be what is being offered now. I don't recall seeing so many posts that say the current price is OK but it was cheaper last time (usually in 4th quarter of previous year.) I am hoping for future deals of new and up coming releases such as blu rays of The Wizard of Oz, Gone With The Wind, and North By Northwest. TV shows such as the Complete Aly McBeal and Farscape. And The Beatles CD Box set.
