I have a promo gift certificate and some loose change in my amazon account, and I want 2 DS titles. I only really have GTA for it now - so almost anything is fair game.
What would you suggest?

Henry Hatsworth in the Puzzling Adventure $18.99
Professor Layton and the Curious Village $23.49
With ECA (which as we all know is pretty much ESSENTIAL), $38.23

If you like RPG and the Megaten series I would recommend Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor.

If you like puzzles, get Layton.
If you like Western RPGs, get Etrian Odyssey I and/or II.
If you like platformers, get Hatsworth.
If you had a Commodore 64 in the 80s, get Impossible Mission.
If you like JRPGs, pretty much every one that ever came out for the NES or SNES has been ported to the DS.
And unless you're a soulless monster, you'll want to pick up Scriblenauts when it comes out next month.

oooh, retro game is 18.50...that's looking good.
Thanks for all the suggestions - i like most styles of games. I should be getting my RPG fix from FF IV:The After years on the wii here shortly, and i've got too many geo wars titles already...
Scribblenauts is on the list already
I think I might go with Layton and Retro Challenge...
fuck
or World Ends... & Hatsworth.

RGC for sure. Layton or Hatsworth is a toss-up.
I'd skip TWEWY, but that's just because mine is still in cellophane from when I bought it about 3 weeks after launch.

Be aware, RGC gets old pretty quick. While the idea is cute and fun, the gameplay gets very repetitive even though you a few different games within the game.
I got rid of it fast.

Henry Hatsworth and Professor Layton are both good choices. I think I've gotten the most value out of Picross, it's the game I keep coming back to every few months, I've probably put in 100 hours easy and still have lots of puzzles left.
