Very interesting...I have my eye on one or two things, wonder if the prices will be the same once this 25% sale begins.

Also, the "15% off shipping on $25+ orders" is now gone... I had 8 items in my cart. Shipping was $19.90. No thanks...

Yeah... this promotion is no good. I'm passing entirely. Maybe if there was Free Shipping but definitely NOT without it. The percentage off essentially just knocks off the shipping with enough items but the prices are too high on most items anyway for me to feel motivated to buy anything.

they used to have decent sales, but it seems they keep raising prices if they offer ANY kind of discount (free shipping, etc)
The last couple of free shipping promos have rasied the min. to $65 for free shipping. That is just too damn high. For the same reason I stopped buying from oldies.com. They rasied the free shipping to $75. I probably missed out on a couple of clearance items, but the shipping always made their deals lukewarm.

I picked up some of the Canadian only Blu Ray releases with the 25% off (and high shipping) still made it cheaper than AmazonCA.
For those interested:
Blade 2 and 3
Mimic
The price with shipping was $48.43

Maybe it was a glitch or something because it's $10.99 now. Which still puts it at only $8.24 after savings but still...

$20.49 in the search grid:
http://search.inetvideo.com/search?w=sign+o+the+times&view=grid
$10.99 when you click to look at the item:
http://www.inetvideo.com/Items/N01-092419
(edit 8/22--...and now $16.99--the price shuffling of their deck continues....! )
even they're confused by their own pricing...!--
I might have bit on several things if free shipping was thrown in, but a pretty tepid deal without it (DVDTalk sponsor or not)

Zak & Miri Make a porno 2 disc is $6.50 and No Country for Old Men is $6. Not bad with the 25% off.

You are probably thinking it, but I just want to confirm it, this sale sucks when you factor in their shipping costs.

I typed in "Criterion" in their search box and only found 3 hits.... Is their selection this low or is their search function not good?

That about says it. I wouldn't have minded the price spikes, but you're essentially not saving anything without the free shipping deal. :(

I couldn't resist Blu-rays of some movies not yet available in US on Blu, like:
Cold Mountain
Blade 1, 2, 3
and I also picked up Austin Powers...At $9.99 each, minus 25%, it's cheaper than the $40 for the set at Amazon...

Prices have gone up for this "sale". Screw you iNetVideo and any other retailer that raises prices before a sale, just to trick people into buying stuff they think they are saving money on. Why don't they just raise all their prices, and then have a sale that never ends? Lame. :bmonkey:

iNet's owners (blanking on the name right now) are liquidators, they buy DVDs on wholesale from others on the cheap. They then sell them via iNet and other ventures such as bins in Canadian stores.
Most DVDs they get are the ones that can't be sold at the original price point, think Criterion films fit that need?
