What did you rob a Blockbuster? I know how many DVDs I gave to them to get my $276 in credit, I can't imagine how large your collection must be to get rid of that much.

I have read that you can use the same code multiple times with DVDPlanet. I have never ordered from them before though. I sent them some stuff in anticipation of this sale.

Well I called customer service and they said the sale does not start until tomorrow and code won't work until then. I guess you proved them wrong. But still does not do me any good. I also used the same code multiple times during the last sale.

No worries. Didn't take it personal. I felt bad that I started the thread and it didn't work for others, but Scott1598 gives some hope.

I really doubt it. The CSR was simply communicating the "official" launch date for the sale (as they were probably instructed to do). However, in past years DD and DVDP have always activated the codes on an "unofficial" basis at about 4pm CT the day before, just like they did today. None of the orders placed using codes during the unofficial timeframe have been canceled before.

Also, since it's still in the unofficial phase, it's not surprising that it may or may not work consistently. No obligation on their part to make sure everything works until it's officially launched.

In past sales, the DVD Planet coupon has been reusable. However, I believe that it has always stated in its terms that it can only be used once. I have always waited for confirmation in this forum from someone from the company that it can be used multiple times before ordering.

Arrgh! I just tried to place an order (using store credit) and when I clicked "apply" after loading DVDTALK in the coupon blank it went right to the "thanks for your order" page without computing the coupon value and taking me to the updated order total. CSR says "call back tomorrow morning" and said he couldn't find the coupon code.

Why would the DVDTALK code be expected to work at DVD Planet ? ? ? That's a code for DeepDiscount.
