Can you connect a DVD player to a tv that already has a VCR when the TV player only has one a/v input?
I want to buy one for my grandma but her tv only has one input.
MY tv has 2 but i somehow have connected my DVD, VHS, AND LD players to it so it must be possible somehow.
Thanks in advance for any replies

You are likely to have a problem with macrovision copy protection if you connect the player through the VCR. (Your LD/VCR/DVD combo probably worked because you put the LD in through the VCR and I don't think LD had macrovision on them.)
Unless her VCR doesn't support macrovision (and some don't) you'll have to go to Radio Shack and buy a splitter of some kind that will allow you you connect two analog video/audio devices to one connector on your TV.

The AV multi outs are usually $20 or less so that would be a good bet. My mom has a very old 25" with only RF inputs. So I had to get a converter to output RF.

Similar suggestion to Blade's and Topgun94's: a Radio shack RF modulator can act like a A/B splitter and send the DVD signal to an older TV. The modulator has a coax input for the DVD player and a RF 75ohm antenna input for the incoming TV signal. The output of the modulator is RF 75ohm. It's a $20-$30 device. There's a switch (monitor/antenna) that let's you choose between DVD/TV.
