Not a whole lot of interest here for this one unfortunately but I just wanted to post that Amazon has the deluxe edition of this currently priced at $9.99. 2 cds with a live set being the second disc.
Less intrusive production than on Life in Slow Motion. A good thing.
He's still got lyrical chops: "Names beneath the lichen/On these cemetery stones;/There are carnivals of silverfish/Waiting to dance upon our bones."
Hardly any electronica influence. (Life in Slow Motion, while hardly electronic, had several drum figures which recalled techno rhythms.)
Not an obviously crappy song among 'em.
I'd recommend it. Let's see if that holds after driving around with it for a couple hours tomorrow.

Managed to get this from Amazon MP3 while it was still $3.99. Listened to about half of it so far, and I'm liking it. Been a fan of his for several years, so glad to finally hear some new stuff.

Bought this one Tuesday. Haven't listened the whole way through but so far I'm liking Fugative, Jackdaw, First Chance. The live disc is good too but I've noticed that sometimes when he raises his voice and repeats a line or a word over and over, it can get on my nerves.
I love his last few albums though....pretty much everything he's done since 2000. I think his voice really matured alot more then. Sounds a bit like Bob Dylan except David has a pleathera of outstanding songs.
