Alright, this has been doing pretty well in the Videogame Forum, I thought I'd try it here.

The object of the game is to think alike. For each question, give an answer that you think is most popular. For example, a question might be something like, "Name a popular pizza topping." A good answer would be pepperoni. A bad answer would be shiitake mushrooms.

Each question is then scored by its replies. Let's say there's six participants and of those, three said "Pepperoni", two said "Sausage" and one said "Basil" — The pepperoni players would each get 3 points, the sausage players 2 points, and the basil player 0 points.

The winner is the person with the highest score.

Remember — the point of the game is not the correct answer, but the answer you think most of the other forum members will give. Since this is the Politics & World Events Forum, all the questions will be Politics & World Events related.

To play, simply send me a private message (PM) with your answers, one per line. Please DO NOT number them.

Since I do not know how popular or unpopular this will be, I will leave this open for at least several days. This game works best if we can get at least 15 participants.

Do not use Wikipedia or Google — use only the knowledge in your head.

Sheep, Politics & World Edition — Round 1

Name a hotly debated amendment to the US Constitution.

Name any current or former Supreme Court Justice.

Name a European nation that seems to be on the wrong track.

Which administration had it the easiest in the 20th century? (could be politically, economically, etc.)

Name a current African head of state.

Aside from Nancy Pelosi, name a Speaker of the House.

Name the TV network which has the most unbalanced news coverage.

Name an especially divisive subject of discussion in the Politics and World Events Subforum. This can be a person (Margaret Thatcher) or an idea (Prohibition) but not something very broad ("the nation" or "politics").

Name a foreign country where, currently, there is a peaceful US military presence (i.e. not Iraq).

Name a political party aside from the Democratic Party or the GOP.

Name a non-living, non-American writer, thinker, or ideologue whose political ideas are still discussed today (for better or worse).

Name a movie or documentary that focuses on American politics.

Name a DVD Talk member whose posts in the Politics subforum positively contribute to the discussion.

Name our most powerful and important military ally.

Have fun! I'll leave this open through at least Thursday night.

Yeah - I was wondering about that. I almost put him down since he's the Chief and was confirmed recently.

I thought Mugabe would be the popular choice because of the election and cholera outbreak, etc. For any question, I just picked an answer that had it's own thread here recently since I figured that will be most fresh in everyone's memory.

What did everyone put for European country on the wrong track? 'Wrong track' is kind of a vague qualifier, so I didn't really know what people would look for.

I chose Ireland because their economy is in greater shambles than most others.

Exactly. It's not about picking the right or most correct answer but the most common answer (which could be for any reason). In that case, everyone in this forum (except for excentris) seems to hate France, so it was an easy pick.
