Best Controller for playing Gamecube games on the Wii?
I am wanting to play some old gamecube games on my Wii and i was wondering if anyone can recommend a good controller. I was thinking about picking up the old Gamecube controller, but not sure if there is a better one now on the market. Any recommendations are appreciated.

Playing Gamecube games is best with a Gamecube controller (preferrably the Wavebird).
All other games, NES, SNES, N64 work best with the Classic Controller.

I would say the opposite. Get a regular GameCube controller unless you have to have wireless. I liked the feel of it a lot better than the Wavebird. There's a lot less bulk on the back of the controller. It should be pretty easy to find extension cables if distance from the console is an issue.

So, I bought two or three Mario games from the VC (or whatever it's called), but have never really spent time playing them due to where the Wii is located in the living room. Never even occurred to me to look for extension cables (hell, I may even have 1 in my crawlspace). Maybe I'll get in some Mario 3 this weekend, W00t!
