Gargoyles 1972 VCI - Official Cover Art

I am interested in knowing what the disc and cover art looks like in official VCI releases of Gargoyles (1972).

I have seen a couple of sellers offering what they call a first-run orange-print cover that looks very similar to the regular cover except that the background is orange. Is this a legitimate release?

I am Bob Blair, president of VCI Entertainment and I can confirm that the cover with the orange-ish background is legitimate. It was part of a re-design we did sometime in 2004. Of course you still have to beware of "pirated" copies -- its easy to duplicate the DVD cover, not so easy to replicate a DVD -- so you should know that we never produced any DVD-Rs on this title.

Also must say that I agree on the fact that this is one creepy little movie and probably one of the best Made-for-TV Horror Movies ever produced.
