10 Things I Hate About You - Series Premiere "Pilot" ----> 7/7/09
This starts tonight on ABC Family. Looks like its 36 minutes long so set the DVRs to pad a bit.

I saw an ad for this on Thursday, I might check it out. If only my cable company would give me the channel in HD...nope 14 HBO's instead.

I believe this is also free on Itunes. I noticed without commercials, it's 29 minutes on Itunes.

It was bad ... but I didn't hate it.
I liked the actress playing Kat and her interaction with motorcycle guy.
Hated the actress playing Bianca and Miller was real bad, but the supporting cast was almost tolerable.
The dialog was typical of the sanitized for TV teen high school comedies. Basically drivel. It's a half hour, so not much plot.
Did anybody really expect more than what we got?

Haven't finished it yet, but the first half that I saw did nothing to impress me - the acting and dialogue were pretty damn bad... coming from the same director as the movie, this is a pretty big disappointment, but maybe it will get better.

What's with the odd shot between the "nerd" and the "short nerd". The camera angles made the little guy out to be 3 feet tall. Kat was the only thing I liked...but got an odd Jordan Catalana vibe from her soon-to-be BF.

I've become a fan of ABC Family's other new show, Make it or Break It. This one, I just don't see it happening.

Everyone tune out? Second episode was a huge improvement but still not feeling it. Since its 30 minutes and summer I'll likely watch the full season. Like Kat, like the Dad, but Bianca...not so much.
