Warehouse 13 - Season Premiere - July 7
After saving the life of the President, two Secret Service agents find themselves abruptly transferred to Warehouse 13 — a massive, top-secret storage facility in windswept South Dakota that houses every strange artifact, mysterious relic, fantastical object and supernatural souvenir ever collected by the U.S. government.
The Warehouse's caretaker Artie (Saul Rubinek) assigns Pete (Eddie McClintock) and Myka (Joanne Kelly) the challenge of chasing down reports of supernatural and paranormal activity in search of new objects to store at the Warehouse. The two agents are also commissioned to help Artie control the Warehouse itself, which proves to be a task beyond what either of them could have ever imagined.
Warehouse 13 is an action-packed exploration where the unlikely, becomes what's possible and reality is a limitless phenomenon filled with wonder.
Warehouse 13 comes from Universal Cable Productions and is executive produced by Jack Kenny (The Book of Daniel) who also serves as showrunner. David Simkins (Dresden Files) is executive producer; Jace Alexander (Burn Notice, Rescue Me) is co-executive producer and director; and Stephen Surjik (Monk, Burn Notice) is producer/director.

Seems like a spin on Friday the 13th - The Series from a while back, which I kinda liked. Anyone else going to watch?

I have my DVR set. It's 2 hours long.
Looking forward to seeing the very beautiful Joanne Kelly, formerly of the FOX series Vanished.

This looks interesting, and Saul Rubinek is one of those character actors I lways enjoy when he turns up. I'll be checking it out.
When I went to set my Tivo, this was listed not just on Sci-Fi, but also on Oxygen, Bravo, and USA. Looks like they are rerunning the pilot wherever they can. I wonder if that strategy will build the audience.

I thought the cast was perfect. Eddie McClintock kind of seemed and looked like a combination of Justin Bartha and David Boreanaz. I liked the pilot, looking forward to the next episode.

Started watching it and immediately said what has already been posted, "This is a take-off on the old Friday the 13th -The Series".
I DVR'd it and was up past midnight when I decided I couldn't stay up any longer to see if I liked it. I usually give shows two viewings before dumping them, but I don't see any reason to keep watching. If it gets better, I'll see other people post about it and I'll go back and catch up like I did with Oz.
Not my cup 'o tea.

Just finished watching it ..... the first 45 minutes or so were moderately intriguing, being the series set-up. Unfortunately, at that point a plot kicked in. Not good.
(Did enjoy seeing Michael Boatman as the professor, since I just saw him on stage last week in a new off-Broadway musical.)

It's kinda funny at times ... but not in a good way. Like when you walk into a friends house and smell air freshener. You also get a whiff of something bad beneath the surface.
Cast is great and all have very interesting characters. Loved the Steam Punk props. The first half pulled me in, but the second had the feel of a 70's Made For TV Witchcraft Movie. Like they ran out of time and (or) money.
The SyFy commercial and branding are sterile ... but not in a good way. Like when you walk into a neighbors house and the furniture is covered in plastic.
I couldn't even follow the shit happening in that long commercial. I saw it twice and still don't have a clue what it was about. The 3D logo for the shorter one was done on an Amiga ... circa 1985.

Haven't watched yet, but apparently the ratings were really good. 3.5M viewers

I thought it was OK, but I felt a little disappointed at the end. I like the Friday the 13th premise, but the story in this episode felt generic and not all that interesting. I'll probably keep watching the season unless it gets really bad.

I'm 1 hour in and I kinda like it. Definitely a very quirky feel to it.
As I mentioned in my 1st post.....Joanne Kelly She is gorgeous.
I like her partner as well along with Saul Rubinek.
Also good to see CCH Pounder back on TV so soon since the Shield ended. Definitely a very different role.

It was OK, nothing really exciting. I will probably tune in from time to time depending on who the guest star of the week is.

This reminds me somewhat of what could have been from the Lost Room mini-series that was on SciFi a few years ago. I even think I caught a nod to it when Mrs. Fredricks showed up in that directors office, he asked how she got in there and she said she used a door. Anyway, I thought it was good enough to tune into again.

Finished this late last season and for the most part I liked it. I really like the 2 leads (Kelly and McClintock) and I like the quirkiness of Saul Robinek's character.
The 2nd hour was far from perfect, but overall I was entertained. I agree with Ayre's assessment. They probably blew their budget on the 1st hour. The conclusion was very cheesy. I'll be back next week. I think they set up with foundation for a cool yearly summer series like Eureka.
