LOL! That's amazing; I can just see it now, the story of a troubled boy who travels to different times and places as flicks through a view-master reel.
I said it before, they need to do a Simon film where people in a dystopic future are forced to play the game, but it's a Russian Roulette style game where losers blow up. Or how about Easy Bake Oven: The movie? A group of siblings try to raise money selling baked goods to keep their home from being foreclosed on, but an evil corporate entity seeks to sue them for possible infringement.
I got it, Spirograph, a sci-fi film where space-faring navigators curiously use special starcharts known as Spirographs, uncertain of where they will lead to.

That's exactly what I thought of when I saw the thread title.
Your other ideas sound like the kind of low budget movies I grew up to in the 80's. :D:up:

I want Pet Rock: The Motion Picture!!!
Just imagine the spectacular ending where they pay homage to Rocky, as fans around the world join to chant ROCKY, ROCKY, ROCKY.
EDIT:
Right after I posted that I went to IMDB just to search for it, omg:
Pet Rock (2010) (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1001541/)

 With this announced today, we should hear an official announcement about a Slinky movie on MondayCGI-Animated Slinky Movie in the Works
Source: USA Today
Friday, January 2, 2004
According to USA Today, two studios are said to be interested in doing an animated movie about Slinkys, the popular toy that bounces up and down. Former Venezuelan child star Henrique Vera-Villanueva, the president and CEO of H2V Entertainment, is directing a CGI-animated feature tentatively titled Slinky: The Magic Quilt.
"We are creating a completely imaginary, full world all based on the Slinky," says Vera-Villanueva, who adds that two studios are interested in distributing his film, to be finished in 2005 for the 60th anniversary of Slinky's introduction. "It's a bunch of characters, some of them new, such as the Slinky scarecrow and the Slinky robot, some based on the property known as the Slinky Pets.
"The main character is a big Indiana Jones-type Slinky," says Vera-Villanueva, whose idol is director Tim Burton. "This character is on an adventurous quest, but it's a character-driven film, like Ice Age."Thankfully, a search for "Slinky: The Magic Quilt on IMDb brings up no results.
I nominate the advertising team from Cartoon Network to start early advertising in Boston for this movie.

Funny how most people 40 and under tend to think of the View Master only as a children's toy while those older know it used to be marketed more as a viewer to look at scenic stereo pictures. There was even a consumer stereo camera made that took 3-D pictures formatted for use in the VM reels.

the one's I invested my money in collecting were the 'movie' themed VM reels - 'Close Encounters' 'Return to Witch Mountain' 'King Kong' (1976) 'Pippi Longstockings' to name a few. I'm almost 40, and even though I had my VM as a kid - I never really saw it as really a 'toy' per se. My parents also had a old stereoptican, which I loved too.
