Terminator 2 UE w/ metal slipcover @ FYE

I went to my local FYE (Fullerton, Ca.) and found a used Terminator 2 UE with the metal slipcover for $7.99. I was so excited to find it at that price and in good shape. Are these hard to find or did I just get lucky. Just wanted to share this with you all and see what you guys think. Happy DVD Hunting!!

the only thing i've heard about this version is that it messes something up (DVD's or case?) something fierce.

If it's a copy with the metal slipcover, I imagine it has a DVD-18 instead of 2 DVD-9s.

It's the Extreme Edition's case that was known to damage the case (interestingly enough, I think I may have ended up with the one metal sleeve that DIDN'T damage my case).

As far as the UE goes, it also had a metal sleeve, but it doesn't damage the case at all.

What type of UE you got? the Single Disc? or the Double Disc?

OP's post is the Ultimate Edition and not the Extreme Edition (which is the one that messes up the DVD amaray case)

I was at a Wallgreens a few years ago and found one (metal slipcase, double disc) brand new for, if I remember correctly, $12. It was a steal and I'm happy I got it.

Re: Terminator 2 UE w/ metal slipcover @ FYE

Here in Australia the 2-disc ultimate edition which comes in a metal slipcase was only released recently, and being the massive Terminator fan that I am (see username) I was even considering about re-buying this new UE edition in exchange for my old copy. However in the end decided agienst it, as I figured out I would be forking out $15 for nothing more then a metal slipcase, and a updated ratting logo..

Would be a completely different story If this "new edition" were to have extra bonus material..

The case for the original EE with two DVD-9's does not stay shut though. You have to use the metal slipcover to hold the case together.

Never had an issue with my metal case damaging the plastic case. Havent had a problem with it staying closed either for that matter.
