A quick search showed that there was no topic yet for this movie. Here is the link to the restricted trailer for those of you who haven't already seen it:

Just enter your birthdate (or a fake birthdate) and check it out. I gotta say, after watching that trailer, this movie jumped to the top of my must-see list for the rest of 2009. Jeremy Piven is the fucking man! And the rest of the casting ain't too shabby either.

I'll see it. That strip club is Downtown near Staples Center. Cough, cough, so I'm told.

Looks good.

If anyone's interested, John Landis directed "Slasher" a few years back. It's a documentary about the same type of car-salesmen group. And I say 'doc', but it might has well been fiction, as the guy's life, craft, and career are all kind of kooky.

Bump.

I'm surprised more people aren't interested in this movie.

I'll definitely see this. Jeremy Piven seems awesome in this, and Ving Rhames seems like he could steal the whole thing away. Plus Buster from Arrested Development is in it!

This opens Friday and I keep seeing TV spots for it so I thought I'd give it a bump.

Anyone else going to see it this weekend?

Not sure if I want to see this. Already did a long time ago when it was called Used Cars.

"I don't know how you got on this lot, blind man, but you're not leaving here without a car."

 I'm looking forward to this.

I think a (pseudo) remake of Used Cars is a good thing. As long as there are fresh, funny jokes in it, basic comedy plots can be remade again and again because no one sees a comedy for the plot.

I like what I've seen so far, especially the Will Farrell clip, but I think my dislike for Piven is going to keep me from seeing this any time soon.

That and District 9.

I can still remember the fabulous Cheryl Rixon who appeared briefly in "Used Cars".

Jeremy Piven and Ken Jeong in the film make it an instant sell for me.

I loathe Jeremy Piven with a passion. And not just because of all the stories I read where he's considered the biggest douche bag in the business (Google it sometime). His performances always come across just so smug and self assuring. Still, this film looks funny. Just don't know if I can get past him to see it.

I don't get it - this looks good? I didn't laugh or smile once during either theatrical or red-band trailer. Is this another one of those movies for "real" Americans? (I hated Talladega Nights and Anchorman as well).

I'm not a fan of Piven, but I'm glad to see him get another shot at headlining a film since PCU.

Why would they remake Used Cars?

Its far better than this pile

Because they made another movie about used car salesmen 30 years ago, the topic is now verboten?

The one with Will Ferrel and the dildo bag is funny.

It's nice to see character actor Charles Napier still getting some work...

You can watch the best scenes from this movie on the web for free - so I paid $10 to see about 5 jokes that worked. The Will Ferrell scenes are the funniest part of the movie, with Kathryn Hahn, James Brolin and Dave Koechner having some of the other good material, but most of the jokes here fall FLAT. The editing was shit and the movie really walks through the tired paces, cramming in horribly tired romantic subplots and even though I love Ed Helms, boy band jokes have been done to fucking death. I was bored for most of this, only chuckled a few times. Piven really phones it in and the script really doesn't do any of these talented comedians any favours. Watch Used Cars and save yourself the agony. 1.5/5 stars.

This was really bad. I was really looking forward to it to. :( Piven needs to stick to television... he only works in movies when he plays "random friend of John Cusack's character".

Damn,,. sorry to hear this sucked. Looked like a good cast and some serious potential.

Wow. I had very low expectations, all I wanted to see is Piven. And still I was disappointed. It sucked badly. Piven wasn't even that funny, the story is terrible, the characters pretty much all sucked.

I want my 10.25$ back.

Had medium expectations, love Piven. But everything about this film was horrible. Might have laughed out loud, more of a chuckle, once.

Seriously awful.

Was this a great film? no, not even close. I did laugh my ass off and thought Piven did good in the few scenes they gave him to shine (like his speech).

I didn find it funny that in all the press clippings i've seen, Piven talks about researching his role as a used car liquidator. Did he really have to do research for this? Did it add that much to his character?

This movie had potential, but fell flat. There were some funny as hell moments and about the same WTF was that moments. Within the first 10 minutes or so 5 people left, always fun to watch that :) I was expecting better from Neal Brennan and the cast he had to work with.

I just saw it.

I actually laughed out loud quite a few times.

No it's not a good movie, nothing on the level of 'Used Cars', but it made me laugh.
