But I'm having a problem with this deal. I picked four titles, but three of them are not coming up as being eligible for free shipping. I think Defending Your Life is the only one that is right now.

Suffice to say that this deal is far less enticing without free shipping. I added Ghostbusters Blu-ray and that worked to get me over the hump, but still.

If you want any of the classic titles, get 'em fast.

Several that I ordered when the sale was first posted are still listed above but are no longer part of the sale.

Jezebel, Prince & the Pauper, Bachelor & Bobbysoxer, To Have & Have Not, Home From the Hill, & Treasure Island (to name a few) have all gone back up in price (to as much as $17.99!!).

I had wanted to get several copies of a few of these (Jezebel, Prince), but the extra $1 discount didn't seem to come off of the second copy, so I removed the additional copies (planning to come back for another order later). Of course, I forgot about it & now they're gone. I'm glad to see some more great titles listed (although a few of them are no longer in the sale...Advise & Consent is one example). Maybe I didn't read the fine print...it seems that the maximum discount I get is $9.90 even when ordering different titles from the first order & only ordering one of each. I never thought of that before...I probably could have gotten two of the ones I'd wanted if I had stuck to a $50 order.

Anyway, just thought I'd give a heads-up in case you're on the fence about ordering a classic title (those seem to go fast & get removed first).

P.S. I'm also aggravated because I would have been glad to pay the extra $0.99 to get an extra copy or two of a few of those titles, but my greed got the better of me. Should have just left them in the cart (or immediately gotten together a second order). Snoozin' again!

I'm interested in "Dead Ringers," but I've heard it's cropped to 1.85:1, whereas the Criterion is 1.66:1. I'd gladly spend the money on the OOP Criterion, but it is, to the best of my knowledge, non-anamorphic. Ugh. Decisions.

I've chosen SS before and had my item go into shipping mode almost immediately then ship out that same day only to receive the package the next day via USPS from a very close warehouse. It can happen but it's rare. Mostly, it takes 2 or 3 days to enter the shipping process, then another 3 or 4 days to receive it if the item is in stock.

Just the other day I received a couple of Blu-rays the day after I ordered them. That's why I never bothered with Prime, since free shipping is lightning-quick anyway. The longest I can recall waiting is three days.

i concur with the other posts re timeframe, but in my experience, it almost always varies. amazon could hold the order for days, amazon could ship right away but usps could hold it for days, you get the idea :D

I think it varies by how far away you are from where they decide to ship from. I've had orders arrive in a couple of days, and I've had them arrive in eight.

Some of these titles (maybe most I didn't check) are Anchor Bay titles that are sometimes B1G1 at DD for 3.00 each.

The regular price of many of these at DD is 6 bucks and change, so this is not much of a deal.
