Just got an e-mail from WB. If you preorder Watchmen, you get Tales of the Black Freighter for $5.

Watchmen comes up as $23.99 right now on Blu, plus the $5 for Black Freighter.

Just a heads up, not sure if I'm going to bite or not.

I bit, with sales tax, and free shipping, it came to $30.56 for the pair.

Also, if you path to WBShop thru that website that rhymes with cat-call-it, you'll get 4% back, so for the pair it wound up being $29.40, which is pretty bang on.

I figured someone would do a promotion like this at some point, if they'd bundled the motion comic in some way too for a nice price... but you can't have everything.

Awesome, thanks OP. I bought them, I was thinking at first that they would allow you to only get tales of the black freighter on DVD for $5, but the blu-ray works as well. I've been waiting for a good price for black freighter, and now for that price its like I'm getting Watchmen for free.

Oops, forgot to mention that it was the Blu-ray, which is awesome. I know Zack Snyder said there'd be a cut with Black Freighter included, but I'm not so sure I really want to watch "Watchmen" with it cut in, so this seems like a good alternative.

Michael, I would highly recommend renting the movie before buying unless you are a huge fan of the novel. My wife and I saw it in the theater and neither of us thought much of it. I didn't think it was horrible, just nothing great.

I agree with mattysemo247. I saw it in the theater and loved it, as did most of my friends, but a few thought it was pretty bad. It's just different. Not sure about TOTBF.

Im surprised nobody has mentioned that you can get this deal plus another free BD disk by using code 783A42XP and watch3. It was given to red2blu customers. They already shipped my two BD's on friday. And I'll get watchmen in july. Thank another forum for this information.

I tried to stack those two codes, but it doesn't let me... It accepts the codes, but it always shows WATCH3 as NOT ACTIVE. I've tried several times, in different orders, but it no workie for me.

You add the two watchmen Bd's then choose another BD then add watch3 then the other code should give third BD free plus second watchmen for 5 dollars and free ship. I paid 30.85 for three BD's.

783A42XP is a Buy 2 Get 1 Free code for Blu-Rays... Apparently he was able to use both codes on the same order, but I can't get that to work...

People on another forum were the first to find it on thurs. They seemed to be still using it a short time ago. It only works on BD's 29.95 or cheaper. They say they they got the full motion watchmen comic shortly ago to work.

I actually was trying to buy 3 BD's (one free) plus get TOTBF for $5. For some reason it didn't work with the 4th title in the cart... Or maybe it was because Watchmen always ended up as my free title. Maybe that was the problem. I removed my highest price item, so now a cheaper item became the freebie.

BUT I can't get an order to go through right now. Their site is having issues. I got all the way to the Place Order button, but I can't get it to go through...

If you proceed to the last screen before placing the order it should take out the shipping. It will show 5.95 before and should leave on last screen before you place the order.

Shipping will be taken off on the last screen before placing the order. Shipping is free with 2+ titles ordered... But I can't get my order to go through right now anyway. I'll try again in the morning...

Based on my last order with them, they shipped the in-stock stuff now at no extra charge. But if you try to break up the order yourself when placing the order, there will be a charge...
