I have been holding off getting this. I think now might be the time.

I had ordered this set last year when Amazon had a similiar deal. Ended up returning it as most of the DVDs were severly scratched up and badly scuffed. It was a heartbreak. The packaging itself is hard on the DVDs and I would imagine going through the mail doesn't help matters. It's probably the luck of the draw on this item. If you're a fan, I'd watch out for sales on the individual seasons.

Got mine a couple of years ago for $72.92 from DD, but anything under $100 is a good deal.

I'm picking it up for my girlfriend. I thought I remember Amazon having it for sub $70 on a DOD last year, but this will earn me major brownie points.

I feel your pain. So many sets I "needed" are still unopened. Sad.

Ditto. Sadly, this describes most of my TV season sets... I've become more selective in the last year, but I still can't pass up a super bargain. Did I really need Every Loves Raymond Complete for $66? I might not crack that one open until I retire in 27 years...

Ev Loves Raymond was hard to pass up b/c of the price -- but not because of the content.
MASH seems to be on sale every 6 months or so (like Buffy), so this is a decent price, but not great. I got mine for a around 70 bucks -- and most likely it will be that price again ...

Yeah, it seems like such an undertaking to finally crack that plastic on a large set, like I'm suddenly committed to spending 10-20 hours watching it.

I got mine in the mail today. On a casual examination the disks look fine. However, when looking closely under the light it is apparent that practically everyone has some light scratches and some scuff marks. Even though Amazon is really good on returns and allows you to take the best copies from the original and replacement set before returning it, I can't see it being worth the trouble here since it is an obvious flaw in the design and the replacement would most likely be similar.
As picky as I am about my disks I knew about this issue before ordering and was prepared to deal with it. Under the best of sales to buy all this content as individual seasons plus the extras would cost at least double this price or more, which is more then I would have wanted to pay.
I'm sure the disks will play fine and I'm going to enjoy this set as is.

Or, in the case of something like M*A*S*H*, more like 150 hours.
