Anyone know where I can pick up a Plasma or LCD that doesn't work anymore. Preferably for Free or very cheap and preferably 42 inches or bigger, and hopefully with a screen that is still intact.

I am hoping to shoot a short film this summer that takes place in a post-apocalyptic world. And I am looking for a tv as a prop for the film.

Any ideas?

Try searching Google for "Freecycle". It's a place where people go to get rid of stuff they don't need but don't want to throw away. Best part is you can look in your local area. Good luck!

Be sure to get all the details as to how the TV quit working! I'm about to replace a near 13-year old picture tube set with an LCD and I want it to last about as long if I can help it!

Look at the craigslist free or electronics sections. Although I see people usually still want money for a broken LCD or plasma (selling for parts).
