I know about region coding and whatnot, but i want to bring my dvd player and dvds to Sweden for a month. Is this possible? Are the TV connections the same over there? is there something about PAL/NTSC that i need to know? any help would be appreciated. thanks.

The main problem is that we run our electronic devices on 230V and 50Hz. But some player can run on both 110V/60HZ and 230V and 60HZ.You should check if your player does this.

I don't know if they use PAL or NTSC but we use NTSC here and they are not compatible with each other.
