Kings - "Brotherhood" - 6/13/09

Spoiler:
David and Jack travel to Gath to reinforce the peace agreement; King Silas tries to prevent an outbreak of a deadly plague.

I didn't see a thread for this, so I decided to start one to remind those interested that NBC resumes the burn-off tonight. This is the 7th episode of the series, so there are 6 more after this.

It took the first 30 minutes or so for me to get back into the Kings mindset but still a really, really terrific show. I wish NBC had officially announced the complete series DVD set already as I grow more and more concerned that they just won't put this one out.

They did announce it:

Besides, Universal is really good about putting their shows out, even the failures. Bionic Woman, My Own Worst Enemy, etc.

Thank you! That is fantastic news. I'd pre order if I wasn't sure it'd be cheaper release week (and if it isn't then I'll gladly pay full price).

another great episode. The dynamic between David and Jack is so good. Too bad this is on NBC and not a cable station like Showtime or HBO. Hopefully, they will show the remaining episodes.

Figured I'd just post here since it doesn't seem enough people watch this to deserve a weekly thread. I finished watching the DVR of last night's episode and this series continues to get better and better.

Below are my quick thoughts on the episode that aired 6/20.

Spoiler:
They seem to continue setting up David to become King and I sincerely hope this happens by the end of the short 13, episode season/series so that we have some sense of closure and the complete series box set is one to be revisted time and again. This definitely kicked everything involving David and Silas's future into high gear and I loved it. Not sure about the Macaulay caulkin character (nor his acting in this episode) but everything else was fantastic

I wish Ian McShane could find something successful. I really enjoy a weekly dose.

Another wonderful episode. Ian McShane was great as is the actor/actress playing Rose and Thomasina and Jack and Macaulay Culkin's character is so creepy (good job!). Michelle and David are the weak links in terms of character development but the ending was so good.
Looking forwards to watching until the bitter end.

I didn't love the first episode back but everything since has been fantastic... it's a damn shame that literally the first two episodes of this show, when people tuned in to give it a try, were it's least compelling hours. It's really turned into a great show and it's a shame that it's coming to an end so soon.

A $60 SRP for a 3 dvd set? Thats outrageous. That is up in the area of Blue Ray prices.
