Yes, G.I. Joe is a toyline, a cartoon, and an upcoming (terrible) movie, but let's not forget the incredible run it's had in the world of comics! Tons of great villains to choose from here, although I had to narrow some down to a general group, so if your favorite is a particular Viper or Dreadnok, please feel free to list it.

I went Storm Shadow. He always was interesting, because he seemed conflicted; plus who doesn't love a ninja?

Actually, I think I will change my answer to Stephen Sommers :)

Did you know he was actually created in a lab using the combined DNA of a dozen bad directors throughout history?

I think this is the most read series of mine. Even in college I took the whole run with me to re-read.

The Cobra Island civil war and the the big S.A.W. Viper massacre are two of my favorite stories, not only in GI Joe, but in all of comics.

ooooh, that and the 3 issue Snake Eyes story where he goes in for plastic surgery on his face...and chaos soon follows.
:)

DDP put out a number of TPB's a few years ago. I think IDW has some plan to rerelease as well.

Yes, they were in the original Marvel series. I think these are the numbers:

Cobra Civil War #72-76
Snake Eyes Trilogy #94-96
Joe Massacre #109-113
