Let's hope she doesn't drag this show to cancelation as well after Day Break and Journeyman.

Well, she is only going to be on the show on a recurring basis, similar to Tricia Helfer's deal last season.

She actually replaced Jennifer Esposito, who had to drop out due to some "Health" reason.

I think she ate at the same Sushi restaurant Jeremy Piven did last year. Hopefully her health is fine, odds are it has to do with them knowing Samantha Who? was probably getting canned, opening her up to a more permenant role.

Anwar is skinny as hell, but I like being able to see how cold it in on set during her scenes.

For anyone who didn't catch my post in the season premiere thread, season 3 is being split. 9 will air this summer and the back 7 will air in early 2010.

The Mid-Season finale is currently slated to air August 6th.

I hate those mid-season breaks. I was hoping the short episode order would have led to one continuous season.

I don't mind the split season at all. At least USA shows with a split season air twice a year like South Park and doesn't drag it out over two years like FX has started doing.

The season opener let me down a bit, but this was classic Burn Notice. All the better, we get

Spoiler:
JAY KARNES

next week.

Wasn't home to catch it. Anyone know when the re-run will air or if it will be on Hulu soon?

I loved how Sam forced the Mexican standoff to boil over by firing a shot from outside.

Fun episode. Completely underwhelmed by Moon Bloodgood, though. After hearing so much chatter about her, I found her unimpressive. I don't even see the supposed hotness factor.

Hopefully her character grows into something better. Carla may have run her course and been rightfully offed but I want Michael to have a worthy recurring foe. Glad to see
Spoiler:
Jay Karnes
is coming back. But where the hell is Tim Matheson? He directed the season opener so he's still involved with the show but I want to see his character come back. He was a great antagonist for Michael.

Thought this was a fun episode. I thought the Mexican standoff at the end was great and Michael's B-Day party was fun as well.

You know I like Moon Bloodgood, but I think she was so miscasted playing a Detective/Nemesis to Michael. I just don't buy her being a menace/thorn on Michael's side. I think it's a shame that Jennifer Esposito dropped out of that role. I think she would have been much better.

I completely agree. Ugh--she was just annoying. Not hot, not a cool character, just lame. If you saw her in Daybreak, you'd know this is a big step down all the way around. Bummer.

With a pretty casual smile as they shot each other up. Can't say I feel sorry for the scumbags.

Did you notice that
Spoiler:
the lead kidnapper survived the standoff? One guy was calling out his name and beging for his life when the final shot fired.
So I think we have another baddie that will show up farther down the road to mess with Michael.

I don't think that has to be spoilered.

Maybe I got the names mixed up but I thought it was the other way around, with the boss saying the muscle guy's name.

Re: Burn Notice -- "Question and Answer" -- 6/11/09

I took the resolution to the Mexican standoff to mean that somebody's wound was not immediately fatal. Given the lack of people there to render aid and the damage a fairly high calibur round (likely 9mm, .40, or .45) would do at that range, I think it's unlikely anyone survived.
