Worst video game experience...EVER!!!!
I'm on vacation this week, so I decided to go for the 7 day survivor achievement on Dead Rising. I had a game plan, so at 2:05 a.m. I started playing. At 5:17 p.m., with 6 days, 23 hours, and 17 minutes into it, a measley 43 minutes (gametime) to go...this happened:
I...am...sad. A couple weeks ago I played the RB endlist setlist only to fail Visons repeatedly until I shut off the game...6 hours or so down the tubes, and now this...15 hours and 12 minutes of straight gameplay. I am tired...I am sad...I wanna fucking kill somebody.
Anyone have a story like this one to share??

You know what feels worse? The Penguin's fans watching the Wings skate with the cup on their home ice 2 years in a row... so cheer up, it's just a video game

I had a similar thing happened to me, except it was only 5 'game days' into the achievement. I learned there was a certain area you should avoid at a certain time to avoid getting the glitch, but it's been awhile and can't remember the details.

Re: Worst video game experience...EVER!!!!
I had it by the ass. I had plenty of food left, I was in a good spot, and under an hour to go, so I decided to head back into the security room. When I got to the rooftop, there was a survivor that was attacking me. I killed her with the chainsaw, and when the loot popped out the the cardboard box, it was rotten steak, rotten pizza, and an apple. I thought, wow, that's strange. I clicked to go into the air duct, it told me my time played, and the loading wheel just kept spinning until I got the above message. I did get the 5 day achievement, but I would've rather died than have it end this way.

I hated the "pull down the star destroyer" in The Force Unleashed. Fun game until that point, though. I love the concept, but it was so poorly executed and made me just want to switch to another game.

I can confirm that installing to the hard drive doesn't disable achievements. Unless it's some crazy bug with Dead Rising specifically.

That's what I was told!!??? Man, that sucks for me. All those late fees on games because I just 'needed one more day or two' when I could've threw it on the disc??? I have been under the assumption that ach's are disabled, like the AC/DC pack/disc.

I remember being so excited about Auto Modellista... cool, a cell-shaded racing game, perfect! Bought it sight unseen... man was that a suck fest.
Not sure if that's the worst ever, but it was pretty bad. Also would have to include that idiotic Final Fantasy IX guide... I liked the game enough to finish it, and bought the guide, but in an idiotic move, they decided that every single page of the guide would force you online to get valuable information that should have been in the book in the first place! I don't think they ever did that again.
I spent an entire Summer vacation playing through FFVII, but in the stupidity of my youth, I used a 3rd party PS1 memory card, one of the ones that had multiple "pages" and could thus store more than a regular card. Needless to say, it erased my save file...
I'm sure some people have horror stories about Superman 64, but I heard enough about that game, and most other horrid games, before even thinking about picking it up.

My worst video game memory has something to do with the old NES game Master Blaster... but I can't remember what it was. Only that it was bad.
And I'm only posting this so I have an excuse to say...

Re: Worst video game experience...EVER!!!!
Actually my worst game experience wasn't really the games fault. Final Fantasy VII. I've tried three times to make it through that game. Once while house-sitting for a friend who had it on their PC.They got home before I could finish. Second time I made it pretty far along until my roomies cheap pos memory cart glitched and deleted allt he savegames. Third try I made it pretty far, realized I had absolutely no idea wtf I was supposed to go next and just suddenly lost intrest. Someday if I ever figure out how to use a PSX emulator I'll give it another go just to say I've won it.
Jeebus that was long-winded.

So Rock Band Fail followed by Dead Rising Fail. That sucks. I can't feel too bad for you on Rock Band though, Visions has a notoriously bad reputation and you should have tried it before attempting the Endless Setlist. Dead Rising on the other hand could have been worse, from what I recall it was the source of many RROD stories.

Re: Worst video game experience...EVER!!!!
Wow, I never heard about any of that, I didn't even know there were freezing issues with it. I've been through the entire game 4 or 5 times and never had an issue, and tried survival mode 3-4 times also without any problems. How does a game cause the RRoD? Isn't that a hardware failure?
