I am looking for games like Crash Bandicoot 1-3, Jak and Daxter, Super Mario Bros 1-3...do they exist on the 360, or even original xbox that will play on 360?
I like games where you advance through levels, third person, and don't involve seven button combinations. Something moderately challenging, but not uber-hard. Jump, shoot, power-ups.
Maybe I am just too old to game now.

May want to check out Prince of Persia. Games have come a long way since Mario Bros. but jumping ledges and platforms are still some of the most frustrating moves in games.

You got that right PopcornTreeCT :grunt:
Speaking of frustrating but fun... But then again I was able to finish it and I SUCK at gaming.
Mirror's Edge is platform gaming from a 1st person view. The demo may still be up on LIVE.
Definitely Braid. Check out the demo and you'll be hooked. It's old school platforming with new school graphics.

There is also a community game. I can't remember the name though, Biskit something or other?

I'll second Mirror's Edge, it's surprising how well the platforming mechanics work in first person.
I would pick up the Prince of Persia Trilogy for the original xbox, great games. I didn't like the 360 Prince of Persia as much, too repetitive.
Psychonauts is a great platformer that is available as an xbox original.
XBLA has some too, the Banjo Kazooie games from the N64, N+
Kameo is a little bit more zelda adventure game than platformer.
I highly recommend Braid too, but it's more of a puzzle game than platformer IMO.

You want jump, shoot, and throw controller? You like old school games?
Get Mega Man 9. It is guaranteed to elevate your blood pressure by a significant amount.

Yeah, I just picked up the Saga version used at Gamestop. I didn't like the demo when it came out but after buying Lego Batman(still haven't played it), I've decided to give Lego games another shot.

Mirror's Edge is amazing. It's very easy if you use weapons though. I burned through hard with weapons in 4.5 hours. A normal run without using weapons took me about 6.5.
The replay value comes from time trials. There are levels were the world record is 1/3rd the time I can run through.

Old school platforming? Huh? Braid is a puzzle game.

Anyone that goes into Braid expecting a platformer is only going to walk away pissed off.
If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, it's a penguin.
