Please help with a Movie Title - Presidential Abduction
I am trying to recall the title to a movie or made for TV movie in the late 80s possibly early-mid 90s. I can't recall any of the actors, but I vaguely remember a female actress who had some resemblance to Daryl Hannah (but it wasn't her.)
The plot is a typical conspiray to kidnap the president.
It opens with the secret service rushing the president out of a hotel from a speech he was giving becuase of a threat. Once they get the all clear, you find out it wasn't real but a simulated practice excerise and the "President" was a double.
As the movie progresses, the real president is kidnapped and the main characters, being secret service agents, track down the president and rescue him. I know it describes a lot of typical presidential kidnap moves, but the opening sequence was something a bit different and I'm hoping someone might know what I'm talking about and be able to provide some additional information. I have done significant google searched with a lot different terms, but I am just having no luck.
Hopefully someone can help me out, this is driving me crazy!!

Funny, I didn't think it was actually Darryl Hannah it lol. It's a shame it's not out on DVD, I must have seen it when it originally aired and never saw it again, but I remeber it being pretty good. Maybe someone has it up on youtube. Thanks again, this one was really pushing to the edge lol!!

Yeah... 2000 is a tad later than late 80s/early 90s.

At first I thought of Diplomatic Siege with Hannah, because I could only vaguely remember some of the plot. A little imdb digging led to First Target.
