Prison Break: The Final Break -- 2 Hour movie
Okay, so I couldn't wait and decided to watch this. Overall, I was entertained even though I was satisfied with the Series Finale. I would say viewing this movie is optional. If you were 100% satisfied with the Series Finale and don't feel a need to see the characters again, then you probably don't need to watch this. This movie does fill in a few gaps in the series finale and brings back a character that was MIA for the last few episodes.
The Plot:
Spoiler:
Which characters return:
Spoiler:
Does the movie explain what happened to Michael?
Spoiler:
What about Sara's scar?
Spoiler:
Also, I thought it was cool that a couple of members from the 24 creative team worked on this movie. Brad Turner directed it and Michael Klick produced it.

It might have been fun to see a women-in-prison mini-season of Prison Break (like 13 episodes). This was okay, not too terrible and a fitting bookend to the show.

I liked it a lot...and the Michael final scene was great... and to those who said Sara's scar was from Season 3 when Gretchen was torturing her when I said it would probably be revealed in this movie how she got it..."Hate to say I told you so...well alright!"

I liked it, it was a nice extra for fans. It was cool to see what happened to Michael, instead of just wondering. Besides who doesn't like a little women in prison action.

Hmmm, I definitely have to see this. I'm pretty satisfied with the way the finale went down (I'm mostly just relieved that this show is FINALLY over), except for the fact that Gretchen never came back after being shot. She was my favorite part of this season and I really missed her at the end.

It's available via alternate reality. If you catch my drift.

Re: Prison Break: The Final Break -- 2 Hour movie
I will be renting season 4 and the final when it comes out on dvd. Without giving anything away please let me know if this is true to do. I read it from a review on Amazon:
My recommendation is to watch the series finale up to the "Four Years Later" sequence, then seeing Prison Break: The Final Break, then returning to the season finale and watching the last few minutes (the montage at the end). The storyline is thus complete and makes more sense as well as provides more canon and insight into the lives and storyline of each characters.
Thanks for any recomendations.

Ripped from an HD source but looked like standard def - getting the blu-ray for sure (well, if Fox ever releases Season 2 and 4 on BD, I'll grab Final Break... if they don't announce either of those, especially season 4, then I probably won't).
I think you could easily stop the 'finale' before the 4 years later, watch this and then resume the finale's coda - but I did like the dramatic irony when watching The Final Break, because we know what's going to happen.

Fox only ordered and paid for a 22 episode season. The producers decided to do this seperately. In some countries they were able to sell the broadcast rights to networks that were showing season 4. I guess Fox did not want to pay for the additional episodes. As always it comes down to money.

I thought it was decent. It was good to go back to the actual breaking out of prison scenes.
I'd love to see a series around Lori Petty's character. She was great.
