The brackets and prediction leaderboards are all updated.

I jumped the gun a bit on which round it is in the title, since it actually only Round #3.

Big Lebowski - not the biggest fan but it is better than CS.
Vacation - tough one but the Griswolds get it.
Anchorman - another toughie.
Caddyshack - easily
The Naked Gun - yet another hard one! I'll go with Frank.
BTTF - still iffy on the comedy but I can't vote against it.
Christmas Vacation - easily. The best of the Griswolds.
Shaun of the Dead - easily.

Woody, this is a very cool thing that you are doing.. Are you going to have a best fantasy/sci-fi bracket game in the future?

^I have a feeling that Empire Strikes Back would win that one. ;)

Matchup #1 - A Christmas Story - I thought TBL was just okay.

Matchup #2 - Planes, Trains and Automobiles

Matchup #3 - Anchorman - Hate Austin Powers. Myers himself, for that matter.

Matchup #4 - Caddyshack - Tough one, I like OBWAT, but Caddyshack is a classic.

Matchup #5 - The Naked Gun - I just don't get OS.

Matchup #6 - Back to the Future - No contest.

Matchup #7 - Christmas Vacation

Matchup #8 - Shaun of the Dead

Big Lebowski - Great flick. This one was no contest.
Vacation
Austin Powers
Caddyshack - easily
The Naked Gun - Without a doubt.
BTTF - I wouldnt call it a comedy, but it is still ten times better than dumb and dumber.
Christmas Vacation - easily. The best of the Griswolds.
Ferris Bueller - This one was absolutely no contest.

What if Shaun of the Dead win both the horror and comedy tournament? It would probably win the "Best Romance" tournament as well, if we ever get desperate enough for one of those.

Someone else will have to run that one:)

Man, this board really loves Chevy Chase.

I love a few of his films...the Vacation movies and Fletch (I don't even think it qualified for this tournament) are among my favorites.

#1 - I love The Big Lebowski, but feel it is very overrated. I'm a sucker for Christmas films and Darrin McGavin, so A Christmas Story is a fairly easy pick for me here.
#2 - Tough choice, as Planes, Trains, and Automobiles would be in my top half of this group. But Vacation has some special memories for me, and gets a slight win.
#3 - Neither are favorites, and perhaps my like of Austin Powers is dragged down by its absolutely horrid sequels, but I'll pick Anchorman.
#4 - I don't get all the love for Caddyshack, but realize that I'm in the minority. O Brother Where Art Thou is a nearly perfect film in my opinion.
#5 - Love Files from the Police Squad, but Office Space wins here.
#6 - Enjoy Dumb and Dumber more than I planned to, but Back to the Future.
#7 - Tough call. Find This is Spinal Tap very overrated, and perhaps my obsessiveness with Christmas films gives the nod to Christmas Vacation.
#8 - Very tough call, my 2nd and 3rd favorite films in this list. But I'll go with longevity and Ferris Bueller's Day Off over Shaun of the Dead.

1) I'm not the biggest Lebowski fan, but I absolutely loathe A Christmas Story.

2) Indifferent

3) Anchorman, but not by much. The Spy Who Shagged Me was the only Austin Powers movie I actually liked.

4) O Brother, Where Art Thou?, if only for having the distinction of not only being one of just a few movies I saw three times during its theatrical run, but being (to date) one of just two movies into which I sneaked booze.

5) Office Space is one of the few comedies for me that doesn't get old. Yet, I keep forgetting it whenever I'm listing favorite movies. Go figure.

6) Even though I agree that Back to the Future really isn't a comedy, I never found Dumb & Dumber or most of Jim Carrey's work to be amusing.

7) Abstain; Spinal Tap is still on my "To See" list.

8) Shaun of the Dead, but it wasn't easy. A local theater is actually doing a midnight screening of Ferris Bueller's Day Off on the 30th (a double feature with Sixteen Candles, natch), and so if you ask me again in a few weeks I might vote that way. It came down to the two things. One, I don't know of any other romantic comedy with zombies (whereas I can name several teen screwing-off movies) and two, I am forever grateful for being introduced to Simon Pegg and Nick Frost (whereas Glory is the only other thing Matthew Broderick has done that I truly enjoy).
