It's Time to Give Away This DVD, Part 2: MEMENTO
Memento Limited Edition DVD came out on DVD in 2002. After maybe watching it right after initial DVD purchase, who has watched it for a second time?
This is one of the few awesome packaged DVD that I always see used or in bargain bins selling between $2-$5, but I don't even want to experience a cinematic headache again for that cheap. Good movie once, but how can anyone watch this over and over?
I know it has really awesome creative packaging, but if you haven't watched it since 2002, clean up your DVD collection and get it out of there!

I didn't care for this movie much when I watched it the first time. However, since it's widely praised by a good number of folks, I decided to hang on to it so I could give it another chance down the road.

Love this movie. I owned the non-LE and watched that maybe twice before double dipping for the LE. I tried watching it in chronological order once and it wasn't nearly as good. Watched it about 2 or 3 more times since owning the LE itself. Great movie.
toddly, I like this thread idea.

Saw it in a theater. Once was enough for me. No need to tape it or rent it or buy it.

Re: It's Time to Give Away This DVD, Part 2: MEMENTO
I love Memento. I own it and am glad to revisit it on occasion. I think Christopher Nolan is brilliant and one of the things I most admire about his films is how involving they are for the audience. He expects his audience to keep up with complex narrative arcs, there's no dumbing it down so to speak. As such, I always find something new to appreciate in his films when rewatching them. Memento was such a wonderful surprise when it first came out and what's remarkable to me is that even with the cheap imitations that followed Memento still withstands the test of time. It's still a wonderful example of inventive filmmaking.

I saw it in the theater. Bought the DVD when it came out and watched it a couple more times and upgraded to the LE on release day. I have yet to watch the LE.
One of my top 10 films this decade, but just haven't felt the need to revisit it again, yet.

I've watched it a few times since I blind-bought it several years ago, and while I may not watch it as often as some of the other films I own, it's another one that's got a permanent place in my collection.

That's funny because I just sold my dvd of American Beauty last year. For some reason, I loved it the first year (probably watched it 3 times after initial dvd purchase), and then I just couldn't watch it again...maybe because the dude filming the plastic bag was spoofed in another movie.

The only reason I would ever consider getting rid of this DVD specifically is if they released another one with special features that just let you just go straight to the menu without having to jump through hoops (And even then I'd still keep this because of the packaging and I don't believe in getting rid of DVDs usually).
This movie is phenomenal and I have watched it many times in years since I've purchased it. Great film and always enjoyable.

Highly rewatchable, theatrical, or chronological for completists sake, plus, great original bonus material like the random commentary track, the cryptic menus (which I liked, but I know some hated)

I have the Limited edition as well. I'd tell you what I thought of the movie but I haven't found it in the ridiculously confusing menu yet.
