Terminator: Salvation - The Game. Looks Good!!
The gameplay looks great!!
Smooth gameplay, awesome animation, the enemies get pretty close, and it seems to have a Gears of War vibe to it, but at a quicker pace.
This has gone way up in my list of anticipated games.
Reminds me of the Skynet game they released about 15 years ago. That was fun.

Games based on movies usually suck. This one looks awesome. Up there with Ghostbusters for my most anticipated games.

Yeah I have to say it looks pretty good. I'm a sucker for movie games though. Definitely have it on my radar. Is there a release date yet?

The last Terminator game (Redemption) was a huge sleeper hit. I am looking forward to this, but usually movie games drop like a rock once the movie leaves theaters, so i'll probably wait and pick this up on the cheap later on.

Yeah it looks good and I may have to pick that one up. I did notice that it has a similar feel to the game "Wanted" with the sliding from cover to cover moves.
Either way, I'm glad more games are going 3rd person.

It looks like a huge step up from this:

looks interesting, lately some movies to video games have been pretty good, such as Wanted and Wolverine.

I checked th e videos of game footage over at Teamxbox and they do really look good. The overall look has that Terminator feel. If there is one major con of the game it's coop split screen only. Why that I don't have a clue as this would be a blast playing online coop.

No on-line co-op bumps this from a purchase to a rental. If there is co-op locally, it should be available on-line as a given.

New movie over at Teamxbox called "Ground Enemies". It's short at 1 minute but does show a lot especially the cover sytem. This game does look pretty good and a reviews should be out with the game out shortly. Real shame on the no online coop as this game cries out for it just like R.E. No excuse why it shouldn't and my bet is they're going to lose many buyers because of it.

Yea ..that's strange. I checked Gamespot and even IGN and nothing. There are plenty of trailers including the latest...Rail Sequence over at Gametrailers. No previews, reviews or demo to boot.

Just for the hell of it I checked around Teamxbox and Gamespot and still nothing. In fact over at Teamxbox there's been one topic with all of three posts about "Terminator" in the last two weeks. There's more on Bioshock 2 than this game....just weird with only a few days away for the release.

Re: Terminator: Salvation - The Game. Looks Good!!
um...it's a movie based game so why would there be any 'buzz' about it on sites? It will be yet another 5/10 or 6/10 game to forget about in 2 weeks I'm gonna play it tomorrow so I'll report back if it actually manages to be mildly good...I'm in it for the easy achievements though

Good deal...keep us informed about how the game does. I read somewhere though the achievements were only about 850.

There are 11 achievements for the standard 1000 points. 9 for beating levels 1-9, 1 for beating the game, 1 for beating the game on hard. Hopefully I can just play on hard one time and snag them all!

Re: Terminator: Salvation - The Game. Looks Good!!
Well, its pretty bad. I've only done 2 of the 9 levels, but I already don't care anymore. There appears to only be 4 weapons (machine gun, shotgun, rpg, grenade) which are littered throughout the tiny levels. The game play consists of hiding behind a wall and shooting either a flying terminator drone, or flanking a larger 4 legged walking robot, walking down a linear path, and repeating.
Luckily, the AI is ok and can kill most of the enemies for you so you can just hang out. If you die, prepare for a nice 30-45 second load screen and possibly some un-skippable terrible dialogue.
It's exactly what a movie based game should be...shit. What happened to make Wolverine awesome???

Sorryto hear that discountu1337. I and I know you were hoping for a bit more positive results. Maybe that explains very little of reviews or topics on various forums. Real shame as the trailers and movies did look promising. But the lack of online co-op confirmed this to be a rental at best.
Checked around again and still no reviews over at Teamxbox, IGN or Gamespot but hey, there are some for UFC .

I started to play it last night and wasn't impressed. So far it feels too linear for my tastes. Walk to here, shoot at this part of the robot, now shoot at this part of the robot, walk over here, etc. The graphics are good but the load times are pretty bad. Christian Bale must not have signed off on his likeness because his character neither looks nor sounds like him.
