Star Trek TOS: Season 1 Blu-ray is only 64.99, great price and Amazon has matched it too!

The Da Vinci Code on BD is 23.99, and the ad says it comes with free movie cash to see Angels & Demons, oh boy, hope we don't have another X-Men fiasco like this past week (with only some copies having the sticker)....

The X-Men cartoon Volumes 1 & 2 are 2 for $35 if bought together (or 19.99 each)....$35 is not too bad for four discs total of a classic cartoon series....

If you look at page 15 of the ad, they show some random PS3, 360, Wii, and DS games on the left side of the page, all within a "$9.99 each" price zone, and the ad says they have "over 100 great games at one low price" marked in the store with a special round yellow BB sticker......perhaps Singstar Vol 2 is included in this promotion? It is not specifically listed, but then again, only 14 of the over 100 titles are shown.....

It's best buy's annual inventory clearing sale. Older and underperforming titles are put on this 9.99 clearance price. Singstar vol. 2 was one of the 9.99 titles, but there is no guarantee that your best buy will have any in stock.

I saw a list of titles rumored to be in this clearance, and there were several PS3 and Xbox 360 ones I'd like to get. However, I think back a few years ago when there was supposedly another such deal at BBY and a long thread either on CAG, SD, or FW. It seemed legitimate, so I went to extra effort to go to work late that day so I could be at BBY at opening. Several other people were in line at opening with the same printouts of titles. We all rushed in, checked several titles on the list, and none of them were on sale. It was a hoax.

If I show up when the open Sunday morning, I hope this time BBY will actually have some of the titles on this list instead of saying "I have no idea what sale you're talking about".

I guess it all depends on what you are in the market for....personally, I think their sale price on Star Trek TOS: S1 Blu-ray of $64.99 is fantastic (50% off of the list price), and DOES influence competition as Amazon came down $8 off their previous price to match it.....

Picked up ST: TOS Season One Blu-ray today and I'm very happy with the quality of this set, both video and audio. This is my first purchase of any Star Trek series (although I have all the movies on SD). However, I was not happy that my local Best Buy has now started putting on the "spider" alarms on the larger/more expensive sets (the alarms with the two cords wrapped around all sides of the boxes). The cords left a visible crease on the outer sleeve's sides.

I suppose I could just toss the sleeve, as it doesn't add anything to the packaging, but still...
