Yes, they are supposed to charge you the lowest price they sell it for before it is released....however, there have been some people who have encountered difficulty in always having this happen as advertised (namely some people who have had their prices actually raised on upcoming Blu-ray seasons of Lost)....
I'd suggest to just cancel the order you made last night and reorder today to save the possible future hassle of an email or phone call to customer service, but if you want to leave last night's order as is, you SHOULD get the better price....
*Forgot to add: Thanks Amazon for this even BETTER price! I'm in for only $15 since I have a $50 GC!!

Does Amazon still do the preorder guarantee? I ordered this last night at the 72.99 pricepoint.....Check your account - I ordered it on 4/16 when it was $79.99. I checked my order today, and it has been marked down to $64.99. I'm going to take a screen print, just in case.

I noticed on Amazon that it is showing up under Gold Box discounts then at the bottom of the page theres things picked "just for me (Quick Picks)". Theres an additional discount so that the price (for 1 hour) is $61.74. I'm still passing on the set (waiting for a 3 season bundle) but others might want to check their gold box page (YMMV!).

I concur - it's a madhouse. This is the exact reason why I'm passing this time around - I just got the Apes set. As the first season is just coming out, I'm assuming they will have a sale on this sometime down the road.
