Need help with a dvd/receiver combo. Looking for suggestions.
I know these use to exist. My 5th wheel has a nice am/fm radio complete with tape player. It isn't really all that old, but I apparently got the last of them. I would like to take that out and replace it with a dvd/receiver combo. I can manage to get it in to replace it, but it would also let me listen to cds and then i can mount a small tv above it and watch movies, etc. I don't need anything fancy because this isn't used a whole lot, but I am coming up empty.
Any suggestions?

3 suggestions:
Add "car" to your thread title for better response.
Shoot the dog.
Try a portable DVD player. Brings its own screen.

I didn't really want to get a car receiver. This is a full sized cassette deck type. It is basically the size of a normal receiver in a home theater setup.
Naturally.
I have one, but want to tie into the speaker system in the RV as well as have a better (or any) tv setup.

Ah, did not understand. Several HTiBs have DVD/receiver units. You would want to check the dimensions carefully if you have a particular space it goes. They often have odd sizes, it seems.
But I think this product will accomplish your goal with a minimum of cost and effort:

Sadly, I still have some of those somewhere. Space shouldn't be a big issue. It is a pretty big single component and most things today would be smaller. Even if now, I am expecting to have to do some modding, trim work, etc. and am generally pretty handy with that.
