At Best Buy, on an end cap, there was a section marked Dinner and a Movie. They had Back to the Future 2-disc, The Bourne Ultimatum, Mamma Mia! and The Tom Hanks Collection (The Burbs, The Money Pit and Dragnet), all Anamorphic for only $8.99. There's coupons on the front of all these for a free 1-topping Pizza from Domino's. Without the coupon on the front, they're all $14.99.
BTTF is the new 2-disc release with the Universal ride on it.
There's also Milk and The Changling for $19.99 with the coupon. According to BB online, these 2 are now $14.99.
I bought Back to the Future and Tom Hank Collection for Dragnet to get rid of my non-anamorphic titles.

Damn, I was planning to wait until the Blu-ray for BTTF (since I have had the trilogy set since it was released years ago), but for only $8.99, it's like buying a pizza and getting the new bonus materials disc free! Thanks for the heads-up, I'm going to have to pick this one up next time I go by there....

According to the back cover, it says it is, at 1.77.1, but imdb.com and thread Link (http://forum.dvdtalk.com/dvd-talk/512753-universal-remastering-titles-their-franchise-collections.html), says it's not. The correct OAR is 1:85.1. The old dvd says that it's 1:77.1.

I saw these at Best Buy. Have you opened it yet to see the entire coupon? It had an asterisk on the front of the coupon next to the word "free". I could not see what the asterisk referred to without opening up the shrinkwrap on the dvd. I passed on it because I wasn't sure if it was a buy 1 pizza get one free coupon attached.

It has a code inside that you enter when ordering the pizza online. It's not b1g1f. I don't know why Back To The Future 2-disk isn't showing up on Best Buy online.

Do the back to the futures still have the movie film cell that the best buy ones had on release week? That would make me take a quick trip over there.

None of the BTTF D&M had a film cell in it. Even the BTTF that's not part of the D&M sale had film cells in them either. It looks like Best Buy stuck the Domino's coupon and new UPCs on the sealed dvds, then they shrink wrapped them a second time.
You might get lucky. There could be a film cell in some. You never know.

I just got back from buying the Tom Hanks set. 9 bucks for 3 decent movies and a pizza, and paid for with a gift card? SOLD!

Almost picked this up yesterday. But it was marked $14.99 and there was no signage for the lower price.
Note to self: If I ever own a store, mark things properly so as not to discourage sales.

Thanks I'll have to check this out. Wouldn't mind picking up the Tom Hanks set with a free pizza.
Does the coupon have to used online, or can you use it in store?

Online only. And it took five different locations until I found one that would honor the coupon. But still worth it. Thanks OP.

Wasn't marked on sale at my store, either. I just assumed that it would ring up 8.99, and it did...

I hadn't seen this thread yet. Is it in their ad? Or did someone buy it and find the secret lower price? I've had that happen a couple times.

I think it it just one of their non-advertised in-store end cap promotions...from time to time BB will not have a sale in their weekly ad flyer, but will have something special like this on one of their end caps...
Another example is they currently have a handful of Sony Blu-ray titles on sale for 15.99....I saw it on an end cap in the store Tuesday....it was only about 10 titles, and nothing that new, but I did pick up 13 Going On 30 since it is not available at CH.....

The original DVD is anamorphic, and 1.85 and 1.77 are basically the same. I believe the re-release was remastered, but there really is nothing wrong with the original disc.

that'd be a great deal, if only I were interested in those movies. Watched about five to ten minutes of Flash of Genius last weekend and found Lauren Graham completely non-believeable in that role, so I quit watching.

Thanks to the OP for posting this one. Picked up the Tom Hanks set over the weekend. As others have discovered, the BB I visited didn't even have this as a separate display. I had to pick it up from it's regular spot on the shelf, bring it up to the register and ask for the price before discovering it was just $8.99.

The store I went to last Wednesday (4/22) had these on an endcap, with a sign that said "Dinner and a Movie" ...the prices only stated $14.99 on each case, no further info stating it was $8.99 - which is probably why there were lots of copies left on the shelf. I picked up Tom Hanks comedy collection set and took it up to the register for a price check and it rang up $8.99 so I bought it.
If it rang up $14.99, I was going to mention that the BB website said it was $8.99 for a price override, but luckily that wasn't necessary.

Thanks OP. My sister got me the Back to the Future and Tom Hanks DVD's from this sale for my Birthday. Great deal, IMHO, considering you get good movies and free pizza.
