I thought this was already released on DVD years ago? I've seen bargain price DVDs with this show? Heck I even sold one on eBay once!

What is out are the episodes that are in the public domain, if I remember correctly, and they are of horrible quality. This is an official release of the complete first season, and has been remastered to look and sound better than they ever have. Plus, they including a host of extra features! I can't wait until Tuesday!

I picked this up after work, tonight! I'm so excited to watch these episodes! I don't believe I've seen any of these episodes, at all. I have seen only one or two that had Vivian Vance, and a few of the color episodes after Vivian had left. I'm getting ready to pop in Disc 1, sit down with a bag of chips and a soda, and prepare to laugh!

I watched three episodes last night. Great stuff, and there is an option to watch with vintage commericals with the cast in character.

Very highly recommended; this first and only black and white season (the series was filmed in color starting in the second year) is quite good.

Oddly, the linked article does not mention Gale Gordon, who played Lucy's boss Mr. Mooney. Was he not a member of the cast in the first season?

All of the "official" Lucy releases I've seen have been very well done, with excellent extras, interviews, etc. I think alot of the credit has to go to Lucie Arnaz for taking such a personal interest in the projects.

I watched the first four episodes last night, and I LOVED them! It's so great seeing these episodes that I've never seen! I love the option to watch them with vintage commercials. I have to say, this is a highly recommended set, and I've got a lot more to get through! You can really tell they put a great deal of care into this set! I can't wait for more!

I finally finished watching this entire set, and I must say, it is one the best TV on DVD releases that I have ever bought! I loved every episode, and there were a few that are right up there with the best of "I Love Lucy"! I highly recommend this set, even if you've never seen an episode of the show! They have done a terrific job putting this set together. I can't wait for the rest of the season sets to come out! I hope they will release all six seasons. Such a wonderful, laugh filled show, and a true classic!

I'm sure I've probably seen this show in reruns over the years, but if I have, I don't remember it at all. I remember watching I Love Lucy, of course, and Here's Lucy, but not this show. That'll change soon enough; I bought the set recently, just haven't watched it yet. I'm really looking forward to it though.

Of course! Oh well, I've enjoyed the set, and don't regret paying full price for it. I guess those who have held off have an even better reason to pick it up this week. Highly recommended, especially at $19.99!
