Twenty Four (24) -- Day 7 -- "2:00am to 3:00am" -- 4/20/09

Jack Bauer

Synopsis:

Spoiler:

Jack's pain from the pathogen significantly increases, but he's determined to endure it. Meanwhile, the FBI investigates some lethal developments.

Episode 19. We are in the home stretch. The turn of events from last week were really interesting. I was surprised that some of you were disappointed by it. How long before Bauer puts the pieces together and goes after Tony?

Nah. Maybe in seasons 1-6. This season? I say he figures it out by the end of this episode.

Good point. When looking back on what all has happened thus far, it is hard to believe that they have packed so much into this season.

BTW, I suppose some congrats are in order for the writers in giving us a story arc that really did play out over the entire season. Usually (even in the excellent Season 5) story threads were dropped or forgotten about by the time we reached this point - I think they did a pretty good job planning things out this year.

Who would've thought that with Brannon Braga, eh?

I would actually really like it if what Tony did wasn't found out by the end of the season (except maybe at the very end), setting up a "Jack Vs. Tony" plot for the next (and supposedly last) season. But this being 24, I'm assuming it's going to be out in the open pretty quickly.

Actually, I think they probably will carry it out into next season. Maybe it won't be the initial plot for next year, but I can't imagine the writers would kill off Tony again after all the trouble they went through bringing him back. Then again, they MIGHT be saving the Jack vs. Tony story for the theatrical version, which will almost certainly happen after Season 8.

I think having a Jack vs. Tony movie would be a good idea. Frankly though, I don't care when it happens. I just can't wait for Jack to have Tony facing him and right as Tony is about to utter the first word to explain his motives, Jack shoots him in the head without hesitation.

Was just about to say the same thing.

EDIT: They had me there for a second; I actually thought Tony's cover was going to be blown within the first 30 minutes, lol.

It would be weird if we find out Tony has been evil since season 1. But I really hope he truly isn't evil. I can't wait for it. It comes on in 30m here.

Awesome. Glad they didn't play the "trying to figure out if Tony is bad angle" too long. Jack needs to shoot him before he collapses.

EDIT: I figured.

Seems like episodes usually end with "oh crap", big reveal moments; but here's an actual cliffhanger, how-the-heck-will-they-get-out-of-this moment. Outstanding.

Agree on both counts.

Like I said before...I cannot wait for Jack to track Tony down and make him pay. That will be one of the most memorable moments of the entire series, I'm sure. I just hope they don't have Tony kidnapping Kim; I think it is a possibility and I hope they stay away from that.

But then we wouldnt get the awkward yet funny Mary Lynn Rajskub ads.

Another great episode. Is this coming out on Bluray?
