Yellow Submarine dvd question.....

Hello Friends!!

I just watched YELLOW SUBMARINE for the first time on dvd. The music sounded GREAT, but I noticed that the dialogue was kind of a struggle with the accents. Does anyone else who owns the out-of-print MGM dvd feel the same?

Thanx,
Pbishop69

Re: Yellow Submarine dvd question.....

I own that DVD but no, I have no problem understanding the dialogue spoken in a British accent. Has happened to me on other films tho...

You need to let your ears get at BBC America for training.

I hate when Brits can't speak proper English.

Awww cut the guy a break. I was practically raised on Monty Python and Dr Who, and I still occasionally miss a phrase

Re: Yellow Submarine dvd question.....

It probably would have sounded better if the actual Beatles had recorded their parts instead of some people doing their impression of a Liverpool accent.

the subtitling for 'Ashes to Ashes' though is a tad ridiculous.
