Rocky Horror Picture Show dvd question.....

Hello Friends!!

Does anyone own the 2-Disc 25th Anniversary Edition or the single disc edition of THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW? I rented it from netflix the other day and noticed that there were small black bars on the SIDES of the frame all the way through the film. Is it supposed to be like that?

Thanx,
PBishop69

Re: Rocky Horror Picture Show dvd question.....

I know the top and bottom are supposed to have small bars because of the 1:66 aspect ratio, but why the SIDES of the frame? I've seen other 1:66 films and there were NO bars on the SIDES of the frame. Just curious.

Thanx,

That's what I thought at first, but both versions (2-Disc/Single Disc) are supposed to be anamophic. Can't figure it out.

Re: Rocky Horror Picture Show dvd question.....

I just bought a Panasonic Viera 32" flat screen. When I used the ZOOM feature for the 16 x 9 look, I still got the bars on the side. Weird.
