I will be getting this. I wonder how they worked out the music rights issues. Doesnt really matter to me either way though.

I can't wait for this. I knew music rights were an issue and I wasn't sure if we would ever see another season released on DVD again.

I enjoyed the first season so I'll rent this one, but I don't feel the need to buy it.

I loved this show when it was on NBC and watched pretty much every episode. I'm still waiting for season 1 to get discounted from $50.

I assume WB will probably make all subsequent releases bare bones or with only deleted scenes like ER as bonus material.

I got tied of waiting, so I joined Columbia House TV on DVD Club. I got it and Medium S4 for $9.95

Thank goodness, I was pretty much resigned to believe they had abandoned Third Watch releases. There isn't much left that isn't out on DVD that I covet, and this series is high on the list.

Aint that the truth.
Can't wait to get the seasons that had Tia Texada, as well as the episode they did about 9/11.
Not to mention Gene Simmons and Roy Scheider's guest turns.

Tell me about it. Most found that the series had started it's decline by that time, but I actually found the finale to season 5 and the premiere of season 6 to be among the strongest episodes of the series. The Chevchenko story arc was excellent as well, and definitely had lasting effects on the characters involved.

Definitely. I am in almost complete agreement. The only drawback to the later years, was the apparent push of the focus of the show to the Police and away from the fire side.
