The Children UK Blu-Ray: Region free?

Hello all,
I'm about to pull the trigger at Amazon.uk for The Children on Blu-Ray, but I need to know if it's region free.

Any help is appreciated.

How is this movie BTW?

Read a couple snippets on it but I haven't read a full review.

Region-Free as in a PS3 wouldn't have problem navigating the menus?

That would be correct (no 50hz tweaking)

Thanks!

I'll have to check out Cache. Kind of surprised I haven't seen it, as I was a fan of Haneke's Funny Games.

Thanks for the info pro-b! I will place the order today.

Asianxcore, I have not seen The Children yet, but have heard it was one of the best thrillers in years. It should be a reasonable blind buy.

Just got it from amazon.co.uk, and watched it. First, the BD PQ is pretty decent. 8.5/10 rating. Now, about the actual film itself. Absolutely dreadful. A complete mess. Not scary. Not interesting. Not well acted. A complete trainwreck. Avoid at all costs. 1/10 rating.

I thought the film was actually quite good.

Re: The Children UK Blu-Ray: Region free?

I have finally gotten around to watching The Children on Blu-Ray, and I must say this film is absolutely terrifying. One shouldn't toss around the term "Masterpiece", but I think this may qualify. The stark winter photography, the creepy ambient sound design, and of course the creepiest children I have ever seen in a film. Especially the youngest boy, I don't know how they got a child so young to behave so strangely. Daytripper's opinion is completely wrong! :-)

One caveat about the Blu-Ray. Most of the special features are in SD PAL and won't play on Region A Blu-Ray players. Maybe I'll eventually pull the trigger on a Momitsu.

I enjoyed it. I thought the characters acted boneheaded at times, but it was an entertaining ride. I may pick up the BD sometime later.
