DVD Pacific Spring Break Sale

Seems they are getting more involved with regular sales lately. Ton of stuff at discounts of 50%-70% off.

http://www.dvdpacific.com/search2008...1&swbr=1&np=15

There still running their Criterion sale but I see some more Criterions in this Spring Break sale marked down even further but finishes April 2nd.

Re: DVD Pacific Spring Break Sale

Figured it'd be a good time to order Ran: Criterion.

Odd thing, I placed my order and recieved a total of $15.10

Then I left, and went back to dvdpacific and there was a new price. $25.17

Weird.

As of right now my confirmation page states $15.10

Re: DVD Pacific Spring Break Sale

I've never ordered from this site - these are all new and everything, right? Because there are some really good prices here.

Re: DVD Pacific Spring Break Sale

Yeah they sell new items. You just don't see them talked about as much on this board because they don't have sales that often. They actually have really cheap prices on a lot of niche titles though.

Re: DVD Pacific Spring Break Sale

Some of the expensive boxsets are really cheap as well.

Edit - Looks like prices are changing around some.. Arkadin is $30 now

Complete Mr. Arkadin - $18.88

3 films by Hiroshi Teshigahara $30.22 (also other sets at $30.22)

Rohmer's 6 Moral Tales - $37.78 !!

Re: DVD Pacific Spring Break Sale

Another reason I love this site: You can easily search by company. This is great. Sort by price and whatever is in the sale will have the sale tag next to the price.

Agreed. Unfortunately I paid 20 bucks for it when it came out...

I bought 3 Criterions for cheap (Rashomon, WC Fields, Red Balloon/White Mane) and a few other cheapo titles that I never heard of...

Thanks for pointing that out. I searched for other Troma titles, and bought Citizen Toxie IV, and Seduction of a Nerd for 5.xx each...

Re: DVD Pacific Spring Break Sale

I've spent a whole lot of money on DVDs in the past few days - and this site just got $150 from me.

Diary of a Chambermaid [Criterion Collection] 1 x 11.74
Juliet of the Spirits [Special Edition] [Criterion Collection] 1 x 11.74
Mala Noche [Criterion Collection] 1 x 11.74
Mon Oncle Antoine [2 Discs] [Special Edition] [Criterion Collection] 1 x 15.10
Salvatore Giuliano [2 Discs] [Criterion Collection] 1 x 15.10
Seduced and Abandoned [Special Edition] [Criterion Collection] 1 x 11.74
The Tales of Hoffmann [Criterion Collection] 1 x 15.10
Touchez Pas au Grisbi [Criterion Collection] 1 x 11.74
Twenty Four Eyes [Criterion Collection] 1 x 11.32
Walker [Criterion Collection] 1 x 15.10
White Dog [WS] [Criterion Collection] 1 x 11.74
TOTAL: $142.18

And there's still about ten other Criterions and a few other sets (like the second Griffith Masterworks) that I'm strongly tempted to get.

They have some of the Shriek Show Triple Features as well, but you don't get free shipping them.

Re: DVD Pacific Spring Break Sale

Several of the items I put in my cart have already gone up in price, so this deal may not be around very long.

The 5 disc Fanny and Alexander is only $22.66!

Be careful though. It appears the $13 Rashomon is the barebones Essential Arthouse edition.

Re: DVD Pacific Spring Break Sale

Most of the Criterions are gone now. I managed to get 5 I wanted before the prices jumped. Thanks OP! I had to work fast, but it was worth it!

Re: DVD Pacific Spring Break Sale

White Dog Criterion went from 11.74 to 19.57 by the time I was ready to checkout. Considering I spent too much anyway, it's probably for the best. Almost bit on a couple of the Shriek Show sets - didn't know they charged shipping for them.

batteries not included - $2.87
Black Narcissus - $15.10
Curse of the Demon - $10.91
Onibaba [Criterion Collection] - $11.74
Terror Train - $3.82
The 10th Kingdom [3 Discs] - $5.56

Total: $50.00

Also, GREAT prices for Doctor Who Series One and Four and Twin Peaks Gold Box. Cheapest I've ever seen them, and I've looked. EDIT: Not Anymore - the deals are dropping like flies.

Not anymore. When I saw your post I went to look at it and it was $11.xx. Now it's jumped up to $17.xx while I was looking for more to buy with it.

Also, the layout on this site is awful. The search is decent, but just browsing the sale is next to impossible.

Many, many times.

Often they are the cheapest on the Trailer Park Boys volumes.

I've had really good luck with them.

Re: DVD Pacific Spring Break Sale

Last year I heard a lot about credit cards numbers being stolen from the site and used fraudulently. Haven't heard anything since then. I myself ordered for the first time here getting Beck Vol. 6.

Re: DVD Pacific Spring Break Sale

David Lynch: The Lime Green Set is 61.xx. Currently 122.xx at DD. If I didn't already own most of the films included I would be all over it.

Snuck in two more:

Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead - 10.34 (thanks for the tip, wasn't in a hurry to buy at $20)
Ed Wood [Special Edition] - 7.94

Re: DVD Pacific Spring Break Sale

Surface: The Complete Series [4 Discs] 1 x 11.11
Nature's Journey [HD] 1 x 3.81
Battlestar Galactica (2004): Season 4.0 [WS] [4 Discs] 1 x 20.52

Thanks OP, had to pay shipping for Battlestar like $2.

Would have grabbed Twin Peaks at that price.

Re: DVD Pacific Spring Break Sale

I think I will pass.Unless I find something I really want.
I hate seeing items in my cart increase in price before I even check out.
