Ong Bak 2 with of course Tony Jaa

Nice follow up with more crazy innovative TOny Jaa fight scenes.

I'm not a huge fan of historical settings in martial arts films but this was done well

was pretty violent

This looks balls to the wall entertaining. Different MA styles incorporated with the Muay Thai skill set we've all come to love and expect.

Here's a silkscreen poster I picked up ...

The first movie had me shaking my head the whole time at this guy's skills, looks like this one should definitely be entertaining as well.

He has worse plots than other Martial Arts films in general I think..but his stunts and martial arts are great..but they get old. Chan's classic 80s stuff doesn't get old.

I didn't really care for the first Ong Bak and thought the stunts were extremely repetitive... chase, jump over or through some crazy thing, then show the stunt from 3 different angles in slow motion, rinse, repeat. Or if it's a fight scene, keep elbow dropping people over and over and over...

I'm gonna assume this is the version you have? http://www.yesasia.com/us/ong-bak-2-...0-en/info.html
Im gonna also assume that while it doesn't have english subtitles, because this is a tony jaa movie, you don't watch his movies for the plot/dialogue, you watch for the fight scenes.Do the
Do the Weinstein's still own the rights to this, or does Magnolia pictures own it?

Agreed. While the fight on and around the elephant was cool nothing is as memorable as the continuous shot or the Jaa vs. 50 finale in The Protector.

In the end, I found Chocolate to be more entertaining.

Re: Ong Bak 2 with of course Tony Jaa

Magnolia Pictures has just put out a press release announcing an October 23rd theatrical release date for Tony Jaa's highly anticipated period martial arts movie ONG BAK 2. They have also made good on their promise to release the film on video-on-demand services.

Interestingly, ONG BAK 2 will initially be made available to cable VOD, Amazon.com and Xbox Live in the U.S. on September 25th, a full month ahead of the theatrical release.
