I love Zatanna. I just hope they don't screw her up like they've done the latter half of this season.

It was much better than 7 until they decided to renew it AGAIN. Once they realized they were going to need to stretch the stories for at least another season, we got a lot of "nothing happened" non-starter filler episodes... not that most seasons of this show DON'T, but considering it seemed to be ramping up nicely for a series finale, this season was ultimately a let down. Why stick all those folks in the credits if we only see them every four episodes?
And DJariya, while I appreciate your enthusiasm for this plot, the whole Freaky Friday premise has been tired for decades now.

I like the girl but she seems off as Zatanna. Dunno why.
Anyhoo, here's her official site: http://www.serindaswan.com
Plus it's a retread of an episode from either season 2 or three where Clark and Lionel did the switcheroo.
As long as I get to oogle Lois and Chloe without any Jimmy/Chloe/Davis baggage, I just might enjoy this.

Yes and no.
I liked the episode. Loved the framed rules. Not enough Chloe but lots of Lois. And very little mention of the Jimmy/Chloe/Davis storyline. Although it was weird for Jimmy to be MIA, I'm glad they avoided the temptation to have Chlois drop in on Jimmy for a surprise visit.
Serinda Swan was nice to look at but I didn't care for her performance as Zatanna. But then I didn't like how the character was written either. Her story arc was lame.

Color me surprised but I really liked this episode. Haven't bothered watching the past 2 weeks and I think I'll probably keep it that way and move forward.

so "Watchtower online" is some sort of reference to Justice League of America or something?

Yeah. Chloe went by the codename Watchtower back during the "Justice" episode. That was the one where they called Clark by the codename "Boyscout" (a far better name than "The Red/Blue Blur").

yeah, where the hell did "Red/Blue Blur" come from? the actors can't even spit it out. that is the most horrible nickname i have ever heard and to be used so often in a generally smart series is awful.

I think the red blue blur name is ok.
Episode was MUCH better than expected. I liked that they didn't make Zatanna out to be be some psycho out to control the world or steal clark's powers, she just wanted her father back.
Some good lines:
911?
There's only one Lois.
Better believe it.
You're a superhuman being from another planet.
Don't tell human resources.

Zatanna was hot, but I didnt like her story much. Maybe she can join Olive'rs team. Which leads me to say...Watchtower? Wheres my damn JLA Spinoff?!?

Yeah, 911 was the best gag among a lot of gems. This episode had a very Lois & Clark (the good episodes) feel to it. Let's hope for more episodes with this level of fun.

Wow, another Super crappy filler episode where nothing worthwhile advances in the Superman universe.
I guess we can expect a lot of these worthless filler episodes next season.

I liked the line Clark had in response to being told he was an alien. "Just don't tell human resources." Lots of Erica plus a cute guest star equals a thumbs up for me.

Any return of Oliver Queen is a welcomed one. Plus this episode launches Chloe's character in a new direction that removes her once and for all as the "dead weight" in the Daily Planet press room. Having Green Arrow back in global touch with all the others and Chloe as The Watchtower can only spell cool potential storylines for the future with Doomsday.
While I pooped on this series earlier in this thread, this episode has revived my enthusiasm for what could be a great series of future episodes. However, I am realistic in the sense that this IS Smallville and all expectations will likely be dashed to pieces within a few episodes peppered with boring filler freak-of-the-week pap featuring the likes of Tori Spelling...

You know, looking at the title of this ep, I wish Clark hadn't destroyed the Legion ring. That way he could have gone back in time (losing his powers along the way somehow) and met Jonah Hex. Maybe even add Lois as a gunslinger.

I'd say that was a leap over a tall building in a single bound.
They really gotta get him to fly already.

Definitely a solid episode, with some fun bits, and also character-revealing bits. Nice casting for Zatanna, couldn't take my eyes off her when she was on-screen.
