I just got back from my local TRU. They didn't have Bolt on the shelves. I asked about it, and their response was that the "movie guy" didn't come in until Tuesday, so they wouldn't have it until then.

I didn't think it was worth a couple of dollars to wait on the TRU movie guy, so I picked the BD up at Target. The coupon scanned with no problem, so I got it for $16.99 plus tax.

You know, technically, any store should honor the coupon after any package deals or price matches are calculated. The coupon is a manufacturers coupons, which is like cash to the store.

YMMV of course.

So I went to TRU today (first time in more than ten years). They didn't have the Bolt BD out. I asked and was referred to someone else. I asked him and he said "It's not being released until Tuesday." I explained the situation, he looked at the TRU ad and said, "Hmm, available now" for the blu-ray. He went into the locked room and gave me one and said, "I guess we should put these out" which they then proceeded to do. Used the coupon, which scanned fine, and got the $10 off.

I bought this at about 3:30 and I am surprised no one else tried to do this before me.

Brilliant operations there, eh? They are the same way with video games generally. Their inventory systems are terrible, as they never know how many of a certain game or movie they'll be getting in, they just show up one day (and often not until a few days after release). Is the west side one the only TRU in Madison?

Got BDs of Bolt and Pinocchio at TRU for $35 + tax. Combined these three deals with no trouble at all:

1. Bolt on sale for $24.99
2. Buy Bolt and any other Disney DVD or BD and get $10 off
3. $10 off Bolt BD coupon

Now to buy some cheap pasta and send in for the $4 rebate.
