I'm sitting here looking at my well-used Replay TV 3060, which still works but sadly has no place in today's HDTV world.

This has been one of the best purchases I have ever made in my life. I need to get rid of it, but I am not able to throw it out.

I look at it like a stray dog that I need to find a home for instead of taking it to the pound.

Is there anything I can do with this thing instead of throwing it away where it will end up in a landfill?

if you have a lifetime sub they go for a few hundred dollars on ebay. if you don't, you might get $80 for it.

Hey, there's an idea. I still have 3 Panasonic Showstoppers with lifetime channel guide subcriptions. I'm still amazed the channel guide dial-up numbers still work these days.

Currently I use them to pick up truly disposbale shows like Pardon the Interruption, the Sport Reporters, The Real World, and some other regular weekly shows low on the priority viewing list that didn't get recorded by my Comcast HD DVR which can record 2 shows at the same time slots. .

I ended up giving it away on the "free" section of craigslist.
