The OC Complete Series Set vs Season Sets?

Right Now Amazon has each Season for The O.C $19.99 for all 4 seasons Which would only cost me around $80 when if I get the Complete Series, I will be paying for around $129.

Which set should I get? Does the Complete Series set have anything extra?

The complete series includes extras that were previously Target exclusives for the fourth season. They are pretty cool (especially the animated cartoons based on Atomic County), but in no way are they worth $49 more. You may just be able to find them on YouTube.

If you want to see season 1 in 16:9 widescreen, just like the subsequent seasons, then buy the complete series set.

If you want the cropped 4:3 version of season one, with the remaining seasons in widescreen, then get them individually.

That is the biggest draw, not the additional extras.

^Nailed it. If you've got a widescreen TV, I'd spring for the series set.

Season 3 also had a Target-exclusive bonus disc which is also included in the complete series set.

The one and only drawback to the complete series set is the packaging:

While it's certainly pretty, and is a nice keepsake (it's a wide picture book with interviews and doubles as the disc episode/extras guide) it's just impractical to keep the discs inside it.

I had to put the discs in a CD wallet, because I didn't want to risk them or the book being damaged by removing and inserting the discs into their paper sleeves of the book pages.

also, the complete series set has been at a low price point before. I got mine when Best Buy had it for $74.99, and I've seen it go as low as $72.99 as an Amazon DOTD. since you've waited long enough to buy it, i would say hold out and get the complete series set since you get s1 in widescreen, all the content of the target exclusive bonus discs and some really cool packaging
