... pretty old B-film, likely an 80s production. All I remember was it dealt with the supernatural as though it were a common thing, and there is a scene where a small mobster/hitman kills someone in a restroom by papercutting them to death in a tornado of cash, or something.

....aaaaand I remembered the name of hte other 80s b-film I was going to ask about; Full Eclipse.

It could be "Cast a Deadly Spell" based on your description of the supernatural being a common thing but I haven't seen it in a long time so I don't know about the restroom scene.

Hijacking the thread:

A friend can't remember the name of an animated film she used to watch all the time as a kid. It's about a boy and girl (prince and princess) that escape from a castle as children. The girl is taken in by a witch that turns her into a cat, and the boy eventually hooks up with a dancing bear.

Meanwhile, the uncle who's taken over the castle is a slob who greedily eats grapes, juice dribbling out of his mouth. There's also a scene where he's getting his portrait done while surrounded by his pet pigs.

She's pretty certain the girl's name was Esmeralda, although searching for that name now gives a lot of hits for the animated Hunchback of Notre Dame.

I've never heard of a film like that. Any ideas?

There was also a semi-sequel, Witch Hunt, with Dennis Hopper replacing Fred Ward as Detective H. P. Lovecraft I haven't seen either of them but they sound fun.
