Now that one I really liked. First one that really seemed to be hitting on all cylinders to me. We got a little advancement on the Alpha story. They're going to have a hard time using Victor for any other assignments now. No neighbor though which was disappointing.

The Austrasian chick is a little odd looking because her jawline is long, which makes her eyes show up just above the half-way point between the bottom of her jawline and the top of her skull, it also makes her look more like a pretty guy in spots

It's possible Echo was on a pro bono engagement. In the original pilot, Echo's first engagement is of the pro bono variety and Dr. Saunders explains that it actually benefits the actives, both mentally and physically, even after they've been wiped.

It felt like I was watching an episode of Tru Calling with the way the show was rewinding Echo's day each time her memory was being erased/wiped clean.

I'm torn on this episode. For the most part I enjoyed it, but I'm still trying to figure this show out. I got the feeling that the Alpha stuff was going to be like seasonal long story arc, something that simmers in the background most eps and makes a splash 3 or 4 times in the season. But now 2 of the 4 episodes have involved him screwing with Echo's assignments. If they are going the slow burn route I think they needed to let the show breath a little more with some "regular" episodes. Unless the show is going to be more serialized and less focused on Echo's mission of the week than I though, which is why I'm a bit confused.

The midwife segment was idiotic. Why get an Active as a midwife when you can simply hire the real thing?
The A story was great. I loved seeing Echo and Cierra being imprinted with the same personality. Allthough I felt that Echo bonded with the injured thief too quickly, I enjoyed their quiet moments together.
There wasn't much to the B story but I liked how Ballard handled it.
I feel this epsiode should have aired before the second (that was the one with the human hunt, right?) because Echo being wiped will essentially in a blank slate would have been a good reason for her instinctive recall seen in the past episodes. She got to develop (albeit briefly) outside of the confines of the Dollhouse. And I really liked the final shot in front of the mirror.
All in all, it was a near perfect episode.
And the 1/2 Asian chick is weird looking but oddly appealing at times.

Oh and Topher was really getting on my nerves during this episode. It's the painful combination of the character as written and irritating delivery of the actor. I'd rather they kept Amy Acher's character (although I know she signed on as a regular of another show) for all the techno babble and just killed off Topher.

This show is a hot mess. It makes no sense, Dushku is an awful actress, "Topher" is an annoying character, the premise is flimsy, the plots are inane, the dialogue is trite... Whedon has created stuff that deserved longer runs than they ultimately got, but sorry folks, it ain't this.
Keeping this show on the air is akin to giving someone whose never won one, a "lifetime achievement" Oscar.

liked the episode and continue to enjoy it thus far. i hope the alpha line turns out to be excellent, otherwise it will certainly be a let down after the mysterious build up.

In the immortal words of Cosmo Kramer, "I'm out!".
Just can't get into the show. If it continues to last for a while and gets a bit more buzz, maybe I'll rejoin the audience, but I honestly don't see this lasting for more than one season.

I thought this was much better than last weeks, but not nearly as good as episode 2. One more week and we should see the FOX interference start to disappear.
