Fantastic. This has been the only show I make a point to watch when broadcast ever since Veronica Mars got cancelled.
I will buy the Blu-Ray on release day.

Anyone know if there will be any sort of limited edition packaging like S1. Package art makes it seem as though the shirt and tie could be cloth or something for a limited time.

I actually hadn't heard any news on that either. I'm glad to hear he's continuing with the show.

There is a rumor that season 3 won't premiere until August. Bad idea IMO. That is way too close to the network TV premieres and this will get buried going into the fall/winter.
I really like the show, but I'm still on season 1 (around the 9th or 10th episode) I recorded all of season 2 last summer, but haven't had the time to get to it. With the DVD set coming in July, I might as well just delete my DVR recordings.

The Season 1 Blu-Ray is one of the best releases on the format. I caught this show for the first time with the BD, and have watched it through 3 times since it's release. I've seen some episodes twice more for the multiple commentaries, and I've gone through the excellent other features at least twice. If the Season Two blu-ray is remotely comparable, it'll be among my favorite releases of the year!
And, yes, I've held out for the blu-ray, so please no unguarded Season Two spoilers!

I've been asking around the forum, but am looking for an answer before this comes out Tuesday in case I have to search out different packaging?
What is the packaging for this set?
Are there two different editions or anything similar to the zippo packaging that came with S1?

Here's the information on the promo packaging for the initial release of MMS2. Not nearly as nifty as the lighter promo, and from the sound of it, I might even wait till the price drops to purchase when it comes out in standard issue form.

This four-disc set comes in a slightly oversize box that is definitely eye-catching. A clear plastic window lets you see the cover of the DVD booklet within, which contains stark, graphic cover art featuring a starched white shirt and tie (a clever metaphor for the stifling nature of the obsessive perfection exemplified in the show). It's definitely a cool visual, a DVD cover worthy of the show. But there is a caveat – there is some empty space between the clear plastic cover and the DVD booklet within, meaning the front of the DVD case is somewhat fragile. It seems there is concern to let this box be on the bottom of a stack of DVDs for instance, because the clear plastic cover could potentially be pushed in, thanks to that ill-advised empty space inside
