I got the same email. The email actually states "2 For 1 Blu-Rays" which got me excited for a second. But I agree, this isn't 2 for 1. That is very poor wording... I didn't find any combinations which I felt were a bargain. They were OK, I suppose...

Yes.
And usually though Blu-ray are from different regions, they are not locked/encoded and play everywhere. Check the version info. That they are both called "Ultimate Edition" would make me believe they are the same.

Sorry for the confusion. i just copy pasted the title from my e-mail and it was saying 2-for-1 Blu-ray Sale. I did not know it was a buy 2 get 1 free deal.
I think I am going to go with Amazon.uk's deal. I am getting 3 Blu for around $11.50 with shipping. Thanks for the heads up.

I also took advantage of the Amazon.uk offer. Seems like a good deal as long as the shipping doesn't take forever, which other threads say it doesn't. I grabbed Close Encounters as well as I've been eye-balling that for awhile without getting it. I only wish they had Pulp Fiction BR available there :(
Here's a site that give region coding info, ie whether a disc is region-locked or not: http://bluray.liesinc.net/index.php?region=b (thanks to a fellow poster in the Amazon.uk box set thread for the link)

You must have already had an account there then because I had to create one when I ordered Sweeney Todd about a year ago. I know they're separate because my regular Amazon account has GC credit in it which does not show up on the UK site.

The Blu-Rays sold in Canada are the same as the US. Unless they indicate that they are imports from another region.

Then why even bother purchasing US Blu-rays. Seems to me like Canadian Blus are so much cheaper. Is it because the cover art is different and such?

Nice site, thanks. Another consideration is that if extras are standard def they may not play on your equipment... I'm not sure if that is due to PAL or region encoding but I know it can be an issue.

I've ordered from several of the amazon sites out there, and I always log-in on the US site, and then hit the country link on the bottom to go to amazon.ca, amazon.uk, amazon.de (germany), and amazon.fr (france). I've never had to sign up for another account at these other sites, and my info is there for me to use (I don't have to re-enter my cc info). I have not tried to order from Japan or China, and from what I've read, only one of those sites requires a new account set-up.
I also have stuff saved in the basket for later on each website so I can check the current prices quickly for things I am looking at.

I didn't do anything but add the two listed titles from the sale pages with the check boxes and then adding the non-listed one via a regular search. At the end of checkout the promo discount was applied (8.98 for Run Lola Run). That was my only order and it was just processed and in dispatch now, so try adding a third title that is not on the list.
